Awesome pods and the noise cancelling is excellent!! Nothing negative to say about these!

I was very late to the airpod bandwagon, stubbornly utilizing the old wired ones that came with iPhones for free. But they aren't noise cancelling and are horrible especially when traveling on an airplane. I started looking for noise cancelling headphones and considered splurging on the over-the-ear Sony one but I balked at both the price and the bulkiness. So instead I got the airpods and was blown away at how effective the noise cancelling is. It doesn't completely snuff out extraneous sounds but it does a significant enough job that I can clearly and comfortably hear what I'm trying to listen to without having to blast the volume or strain myself. It worked magically on an aiplane but it's also great in any setting where there's a lot of competing noise. And because they're so small, it's easy to carry around and I feel like I'm utilizing them a lot more, such as on walks or in waiting rooms than if I had gotten a bulky over-the-ear kind. So I'm glad I didn't get the Sony headphones and also glad I was late to airpod bandwagon for Apple to come out with this iteration. This is an excellent buy.
