Let's be clear - people (including me) are buying this camera because it's "the cheapest" native Homekit Secure Video camera. That being considered, it's a great value. Although the price changes often, I bought this camera for $29 after a coupon. Ultimately, for that $29, you get what they say - it's a 2K (HKSV maxes out at 1080p right now) wifi IP camera that fully supports Homekit Secure Video. True.Here's what they don't tell you - which may make it worth paying the extra ~$20 for the competitor's camera:As a Homekit Secure Video camera, you are supposed to be able to simply scan the QR code on the device from within the Home app to add the camera to your smart home, and all communications are kept local within your network. This DOES NOT WORK for multiple reasons:1. Although the included instructions say you can connect directly to Apple's Home app WITHOUT using the Eufy app, by holding the reset button on the camera for 10 seconds, it doesn't work. You MUST download the Eufy app and add the camera THERE, then use a fuction in their app to export that camera into the Home app. This is a hassle and probably isn't consistent with Apple's Homekit branding guidelines. (Granted, once you are able to add the camera into the home app, you CAN delete the Eufy app)2. As a simple homekit camera, there's no reason this camera should be making any connections outside of my network. HOWEVER, if you actually block the camera from accessing the internet on your router (retaining local LAN connectivity), the camera will work fine UNTIL it reboots. Then it won't work. In other words, this camera phones home to China while booting up, and will refuse to function unless it can reach their server. This is bad for multiple reasons. Firstly, who knows what data is being transferred, and why? Secondly, what happens when they eventually stop supporting/selling this product and take the server down? The cameras just won't work ever again?With those items out of the way, I really only have one other complaint - LIGHTING changes trigger motion detection. I can see why you might want this to be the case, but I wish it was configurable. Why? The simplest/most common automation to use in the Home app with a camera is "turn on the light in this room when motion is detected". Easy enough, right? And yes, it works! But... if you have it turn the lights back off after x minutes - the lights going back OFF are seen as motion, which turns them back on - in a loop - forever. Seems like a major oversight.

My camera stopped turning from side to side. I contacted the company and provided them with the information about the problem. They were very helpful and quick to reply. They sent me a new camera without any hassle. I'm very pleased with the customer service they've provided. The camera has a great battery life & good picture quality. My son tends to move around the crib throughout the night, so the fact the camera can move and I can see him at all times puts me at ease.

I ordered this to use with my Simplisafe outdoor camera. I also used it with siding clips purchased on amazon, as well. I did not want to drill into my siding and the clips did not work well on the magnetic Simplisafe camera mount. I was able to attach two siding clips to this with no issues. And then the Simplisafe camera has a screw hole to attach it to this mount. I was able to adjust the camera and so far so good. No issue in high winds that took down 50-year-old trees last week either! Happy with my purchase and no holes in the siding!

This is a very cute and small camera for little kids. Buttons are simple and easy to click by kids fingers. The build of camera is solid. Surface has a good feel of silicone. It makes the camera more durable. It comes with front/rear 12mp cameras. My kids used to take photo by toy phone. It can only take one person. They said it's time to take people instead of one person only. Little kids should enjoy their first camera. The color and package are also a plus. It's also a good idea as a gift in this holiday season.

I purchased 2 of these cameras for outdoor use to monitor the front and back of my home. The cameras were very easy to set up by following the included instructions. Mounting the cameras was also easy using the included slide in mounts.Pros: The price point is great and the quality seems good, I have been using them for about 2 weeks. The app provides an ability to narrow down the camera's area of view for alarm purposes that helps minimize random alarm events. The camera has a siren which is loud and the camera's speaker also has reasonably good volume. The ability to remotely rotate the camera is a great feature providing options to survey a larger area once mounted. I recently traveled and was able to view my front and back yards from a remote location using the Wansview app. The app also provides the ability to establish four specific camera views which can be saved for a single press selection on the app, the camera will automatically reposition to each of the locations that were pre-programmed. The camera stores video locally on a micro SD card (sold separately) which avoids the need for cloud storage. The local storage has been good for my needs. The camera also has good night viewing capability with the ability to turn on LED lighting. The LED lighting works best at close range but will act as deterrent.Cons: Videos cannot be viewed on the Alexa app which is disappointing, but not a show stopper. Videos can be viewed on Alexa show devices and the Wansview app. The camera is sensitive and will pick up on bugs, moving tree branches and so on. The ability to select an area of the camera view for alarming purposes helps with this. The app has recurring advertisements related to purchasing cloud storage but can become annoying.Summary: The camera has a lot of features for the price point and I am pleased so far with the camera's functions and performance, I would purchase them again.

I used this Zumimall camera at an area of our townhouse yard (2021) that two of my three ADT Cameras covered wonderfully, yet were not capturing specific vandalism by S8 people next door (due to two of five 6-feet tall potted evergreen trees I positioned to keep the S8 people from next-door off of our townhouse front patio, especially after dark of night).I noticed these people began to avoid our front patio and the sidewalk near it AFTER the installation of our ADT Doorbell camera. Next, they began avoiding being nuisances towards us (Mom & me) as we went to and from our car AFTER the ADT Outdoor camera facing West was installed (it didn't have audio capability and was up so high, intentionally, it rarely picked-up motion near the evergreens). Months, later AFTER the ADT camera facing East (new model with great audio & motion sensitivity) was installed the S8 people shut down most of their stalk-y, trespassing, vandalizing & harassing behavior (reporting them to HUD, police & our HOA did very little to deter them). Several more months later I installed the Zumimall camera on one of our patio columns, within the line-of-sight of the East and West ADT cameras. Doing so gave me the audio coverage missing from the otherwise excellent West-facing camera, and the ground-level video coverage (at the edge of our patio where my evergreen trees blocked ground-view) of the East-facing camera . The motion-detection with light-activation of the/my Zumimall camera was the icing-on-the-cake, so-to-speak, because the S8 people noticed it as they went to and from the townhouse they occupied! The addition of the Zumimall camera caused the S8 people to stop the rest of their criminal actions against the ground at the evergreens & patio. Furthermore, the Zumimall app is great to use. The night vision is excellent and the audio is, too. The motion sensitivity control for the camera is great, as well. The battery-power and solar-power features of this Zumimall camera are equally wonderful! I consider this camera to be well worth the price I paid for it!P.S.: The reason I didn't have another ADT camera added on that column and purchased the Zumimall camera instead was the time delays for ADT installations caused by the COVID-19 based-fears. I used the high ratings on Amazon and the features of this Zumimall camera to guide and 'inform' my purchase of this Zumimall camera. I am very satisfied with the Zumimall camera and I would purchase both brands of cameras, again! For me they've been a powerful trio! Thank-you for the opportunity to share this praise.

Basic camera I use for monitoring my 3d prints. It's a popular camera in the hobby because it's not expensive and does the job. If you want a camera for video calls, you might want to check other options.One negative thing is that the mount for the camera is not rigid enough, so it can actually tilt downwards sporadically, and certainly when there is vibration like for example when it's mounted on a 3d printer. Would have been nice if you could actually turn a knob or a screw or something to keep it in the position you want.

I lost my last camera to the Florida mangroves and I thought this was the best camera for the price. I was right!! The camera is solid, and the case is very easy to open and mount. The wrist remote and touchscreen are usually upgrades, and every mount you could possibly require comes with the camera.The video and sound were superb. This camera has been with me mountain biking trails and kayaking through rapids with 5-star video and sound, and diving very soon. The video files were very easy to upload to my video editor. This is absolutely one of the best quality products I've purchased for the price.But wait.... Akaso reached out to me with post sale customer service. Quality and service unbeatable.
