There are plenty of this type of gadget around, mostly quite good. This one is excellent, way better features than most, and exceptionally good performance.Sensitivity, and setting parameters are superb. One of the best features is that you can set the operational time period, which is perfect for my use, since I want it for night-time motion detection / recording etc in my produce garden (where I have a greenhouse, fruit trees, a number of raised beds etc. I don’t want to be constantly taking images during the day when I’m out there. There is only a single mode though, so you can’t set to come o for more than one time period, but that’s no issue.Time / Date settings are all easy to configure, the on screen menu is straightforward and intuitive. As noted, there are a wide variance of settings, including time-lapse duration, PIR sensitivity, recording duration, snapshot frames, in fact way too many to list, yet really easy to set!Power requirement is 8 x AA batteries (not included). I’ve found they do last quite a while, especially if time profiled, but in any event, I use rechargeable batteries, which makes most sense. You can connect to a 12V PSU as an alternative, but that’s of little use / value for external use! There is a decent strap for attaching to a tree, plus a tripod mount as well (again, not overly useful for external use).The device can accommodate an SD card (not Micro, so make sure you have an adapter if necessary) up to 512Gb, but you can also set the card to loop record (so when full just overwrites the oldest recording first. This records H.264 (compression type), 1080P / 1296P, and the images are crisp and clear, monochrome at night (I.R.).All in all, this is way better than most similar, and my previous Trail Camera that I’ve used for some time. Cracking product, rugged and robust, IP66 – all good. You can connect to PC via included USB cable for off-loading images / recording, but I find it easier to leave the camera in situ, and remove the SD card, and connect that way. Good quality and value. Recommended.

I’m impressed! For the cost, this is a fun camera. Super easy, my 7 year old is capturing images on their own. We’re getting good pics in all different light conditions.

First I was kind of scared to buy this because I was debating between the gopro and this. I checked many video qualities between the two and it seems this one is more affordable and to be honest better than the gopro due to the quality of the image and video. So if you hesitate like me... Don't! Akaso FTW.

Good product. Not high end but good enough to see things on trails and make sure workers are doing correct work

It only took about 5 minutes to go thru the menu for the settings I wanted. I set it to take 2 pics & a 10 second video for each episode. I set everything for a "mid" resolution as a starting point. Daylight pics / video is outstanding !! Night pics & video are understandably black & white but still very good quality. So far my one negative is that the micro SDcard is a PITA to remove without a tweezers. I like to swap cards when I check on it & I had to remove the camera from the tree I strapped it to to extract the card.All in all, this is a great camera for the price point & above. I have the "brand name" cameras & I see almost no difference in picture quality & functions. Do NOT be afraid to purchase this unit.

I love this unit. It is solid. The instructions are wonderfully detailed and easy to follow. The unit is so simple to set up that I almost struggled with the ease of using it. It was inexpensive but it seems very well built. You can increase the resolution or use a video mode. You can set a timer so it only takes pictures when you want. You can change the frequency of the pictures, so you don't get photos of the same animal or and or. All of these features are ease to program (trust me when I say, I'm technology challenged for the most part) Love this Critter Cam!!

This is a decent game camera, it works as it should and is fairly ease to use with good sized buttons and easy to understand instructions. It takes good photos and battery life so far has been more than sufficient. It has held up in the rain without any issues with fogging or water intrusion. Picture quality is very good.
