Good little cam
1. The day/night sensor is too sensitive to distant lights. It often fails to trigger the IR LEDs when there is a low-level illumination (distant house and moon) -- first photo. This threshold could/should be set in the camera set up menus.2. When the IR LEDs do come on, the illumination pattern is too narrow for the camera field of view (that's fox eyes to the right in the second photo, which is a screen grab from a video).3. The manual says the PIR motion detection trigger can be set as low as 0.1 seconds (with an admittedly high false alarm rate -- that I could live with), but the set up on the camera has a minimum of 10 seconds. A lot happens (in my application) between one second and 10 seconds.4. There's always some sort of curved blockage on the right side of videos (see second snap). For my application, it's not fatal, but is annoying. To capture those first few seconds with a lower false alarm (trigger) rate, the system could buffer the initial period. If no further motion is detected, the buffer could be flushed. If motion continues, then the capture would include the first few seconds. The company has no web site or registered domain, but they did respond to an email sent to the address on the printed manual. The camera may be well suited to other uses and applications -- as other reviews suggest -- but it's not for me.

Great for selfies/vlogging - not for stills
[TLDR/Preface]This thing is awesome! If you ever need a more sturdy selfie stick than the typical phone ones or if you need it for a point & shoot, this is really great.[Full Review]Now, it does say it supports DSLR cameras. I tried with my Canon 6D MK II and a 50mm f/1.8 lens, with the tripod on its 3 legs and fully extended. You can definitely use this for stills, but I wouldn't recommend it. It was very wobbly, but its also not impossible to use it as a "real" tripod if you have enough light and a fast shutter speed. (Note that the 6D MK II is considered a "smaller" DSLR camera)Overall, I would only recommend to use this for phones & small point and shoot cameras (with my G7X II it works great). Quality overall felt nice, but still on the cheaper side. The ball head was definitely the most quality/well built part of this whole thing

great customer service, ok product
We first got this product in 2018 for our first born. The battery decayed fast over months and the night vision of the original lens also decayed over a matter of months. We could see less and less at night of the baby. The charging port also gave out after 1yr of use. Fast forward to 2020, we are expecting our 2nd baby and contacted the customer service to see if we can have any of the parts replaced, so that we could buy a second camera to watch the 2nd baby as well. Although it's out of its warranty, the customer service rep Charmie B was extremely helpful and patient. She first walked us through all of the trouble shooting steps, but after we identified the problems that can't be sorted out easily, she offered to sent us a new unit for replacement. This is excellent customer service for an ok product.

works well
I got tired of putting a hat over my old webcam whenever I wasn't using it since it didn't have a cap to hide the camera, so I decided to give this one a try. The pros? It's very easy to install, just plug in the USB and make sure to select the webcam for whatever video program you're using. The video quality is really good, and the audio is decent (I use a Jabra speaker for work calls). It has a green light to let you know when it's in use, and a sliding 'cap' to cover the video lens when you're not using it for privacy. The cons? Once you place it on top of your PC or monitor, you can't really adjust it much; it does have a nice wide angle, but you can't really tilt it down or up very well.

Can't beat the value
Bought this only because we were going to Hawaii and would be snorkelling and wanted a way to catch the experience without breaking the bank. Figured for $60, what do I have to lose.Kit came packaged in a nice case, with a ton of accessories, most of which I did not have a use for, so I just kept the one's that seemed most useful and put the rest aside. Came with 2 batteries and a charger. Charge per battery lasts between 1 and 2 hours on video mode, I would guess. Hard to be accurate because I wasn't videoing continually. Now as to quality. Photo quality is just OK. It won't compete with a high-end smart phone, nor a good compact camera, but if you are just looking to capture memories and not win a photo contest, they will do just fine. I didn't take many photos with it, since I had a phone and a compact camera, mostly took video. As you can see from the photo included, shot in low-light conditions, it did OK, but you will find some fish-eye effect with photos due to the wide-angle lens. It may be possible to correct that with software. What I was really impressed with were the underwater videos. The resolution was excellent and colors vivid. I've attached a screen capture from an underwater video. The colors and detail look way better when cast to my TV than they do on the computer screen. In any event, the waterproof housing did it's job, though I did find some condensation inside after the second dive of the day, but that could easily have been from drops of water falling into the case while changing battery or sim card. In any event it did not affect operation of camera and it still works fine. The only caveat I have is to read the manual prior to use. I didn't, and didn't realize that the wrist controller is NOT waterproof, just splashproof. Needless to say after diving with it on, it was kaput. My fault, not the device! Also, I had my camera attached to a mount on my snorkel, but I could also have attached it to a headband. Problem with that setup is that you don't really know where the camera is aimed. Next time, I will just get a selfie stick that is waterproof and mount the camera to it and hold it in front of me so I can be sure it is aimed at what I want it to be aimed at. In conclusion, I highly recommend this camera as a cheap alternative to a Go-Pro. Certainly not comparable I'm sure, but then again, neither is the price.

Just plug and play, no wifi setup, no apps. Well t
We bought this baby monitor after extensive research, the Infant Optics DXR-8 turned out to be the top of its class and its been around for a few years! Its got perfect clarity, just the right amount of screen size, love the button controls as opposed to the cheap, and lag induced touch screens that the more expensive ones have! This monitor also has quite the range! There are no intrusive and buggy apps you have to download load to use this. Just plug in the camera using the adaptor they provide, pop in the battery on the monitor and charge that either using the USB cable or the power plug-in adaptor which they both provide! Also, comes packaged is a zoom lens! Battery life on the monitor lasts a good chunk of the night. I think we made a great decision buying this one and wouldn't hesitate one bit to recommend it to any caring parent!

Crystal clear images and sound!
Just got this baby monitor and so far we love it! We have placed it in multiple positions in the room trying to find the best spot so it can view the entire crib. We did end up getting the additional wide angle lens so we don’t have to put the camera far up on the wall. The picture is crystal clear and the sound works great!! Our little girl will be here any day now and I can’t wait to try it out while she naps!So far I am super pleased! The baby monitor was something I was willing to spend the extra money on and so far I and very glad I did! This is going to be a great baby monitor! Even as she gets a little older we will still be able to keep this in her room!I would absolutely recommend!

Not just "good for $40" - this kit is just plain G
I'm an avid smartphone photography enthusiast; I'm no photographer by any measure. I've always felt limited with my iPhone's ability to focus in any meaningful way up close. For instance, I recently began cataloging artifacts I've found by metal-detecting around our property; now I'm going to go back and redo what I've already taken pictures of because this macro lens is going to slay that task! The wide angle lens gives my iPhone 8 a much more GoPro feel in terms of what I can get in a shot - there is a cinematic feel to the point of view provided with this wide angle lens. The included light clip is an added bonus not to be overlooked - going macro can make lighting a bear, and this thing gives off a nice glow in a convenient clip-on form. The travel/storage case is solid as well - the little carabiner is a nice touch too. Finally, any review of this kit would be lacking if the overall packaging and presentation were left out; the little flip-out USB card is slick, or you can get to the video content via the QR code. The website and the "important instructions" videos are similarly slick and well-produced; I actually enjoyed watching them for the production value as much as for the tips and tricks. Way to go Kai Pei - now I'm going to have to buy one of those Bluetooth Shutterbug shutter controls!

A high quality bargain!
A surprisingly high quality product that performs as advertised. It produces high quality videos as well. I use an SD card and the ability to have this level of security monitoring without a monthly subscription adds to it's value. I have tried my first camera both indoors and outdoors but like the outdoor function so well that I plan to purchase additional indoor units. My outdoor interest is mostly for "trail cam" type capture of wildlife crossing the yard. The ability to set the motion detection of human form on and off and use the night vision have been really useful for my uses. I live in Florida and had one instance where the humidity fogged the lens but otherwise flawless functioning. The WiFi range seems to be better than my phone. The software is a bit cumbersome to use and gets some getting used to but it does everything including saving and sharing of videos.
