Seems to do the Job well
Seems to cancel noise very well. I used this in the rear floor of a K5 Blazer. Really made my under seat woofer sound better. I don't know how it compares to the name brand product, but there is a noticeable difference with this. Installation was easy.

It’s thick and very tacky on a hot day. Don’t let
Nothing to dislike, other than it ruined a razor blade. Adheres better than name brands and sound deadens as well if not better. 10 sqft is enough for a trunk lid or rear deck. Anymore than that and you are competing in dB drags. Great product, superior adhesion, and very little smell unlike other name brands. Highly recommend!

Value for Money and does not melt
I used this in my hood for a week and it did not melt. (I have the factory insulation pad between the engine and the Noico mat). Also appears to be well cut, no sharp edges............I previously bought the SoundSkins Pro Door Kit which gave me a nasty cut on my hand (aluminum foil was sharp).

Cost effective sound deadening
Ok, so I'm just gonna say it....I'm old. I was fooling with this stuff way back when having giant bandpass boxes and bazooka tubes were popular. At the time Dynamat was the thing to use and it cost an arm and a leg....and it still does! This time I wasn't fooling with sound systems. I was trying to quiet down sound transfer from an air duct that was sandwiched up against the sheetrock on both sides of a wall. Even though there wasn't a direct pass through from one room to the other, you could hear pretty much everything in the next room via the air register. The room on the opposing side of the air register was getting demoed, so I figured I would line the length of the duct with sound this material. Green glue was way too expensive. The rest of the wall will get thermafiber and sound sealing caulk. Not trying to make a recording studio here. Just want to attempt some sound control on the cheap before I put this room back together. Dynamat may still be king, but this stuff was just what I needed.
