"Samaritan" was a little different because the violence wasn't all about the damage that it causes and was a necessary tool of justice, if you want to call it that. I liked the movie a lot and also the humor that lightened things up a little along the way. I actually think Sylvester Stallone is not a good actor (especially in Rocky). When he speaks his voice is just a big "duh", it sounds oddly comical to me. However, for some reason I am drawn to all of his movies and thoroughly enjoy them, EXCEPT for the Rocky series. Hated that one! I find them all very entertaining, exciting, rough and tumble, gritty and he's strangely perfect for the bad-ass persona of his characters. Absolutely loved him in Dredd and Rambo to name just a couple. But I was surprised to see that most of Stallone's movies are so highly rated, even though I've watched most of them I wasn't aware of his great popularity I guess. The writing and directing, which also involves him, is stellar. Can't get much better for the excitement and action that these movies deliver. My only niggle is, always, too much profanity for my taste. But it goes with the territory, doesn't it?!

Stallone at his best. Very good movie that doesn't disappoint.

A very entertaining show, no politics, good message, interesting plot twist. Why don't we see more of these anymore?

Not the high budget blockbuster superhero film we're all used to. Don't go in looking for that. This is more of a tale of redemption and a child looking up to his hero. A very enjoyable film.
