Let Your Light Shine
This photo would never have been possible without this type of light control. The bears are illuminated by the flash grid (25 degrees) located to the right of the camera. The back wall was lit using a blue filter through a soft box. On camera left is a little bit of fill light through a red filter. The goal was to use the flash grid to keep the light on the bears but away from the candles so the vivid colors of the candles wouldn't get washed out.

Rogue 3-in-1 Flash Grid + Gels
I love this grid. Total control of the lights' direction and the colored gels makes some creative pictures. Instead of faking it in LightRoom or Photoshop you can create it in camera. I set up two Nikon SB700 Speedlights on stands each with their own Rogue 3-in-1 Grid and gels and snap away. They work great when I'm trying to light paint as well. For anyone who owns speedlights this is an excellent accessory to have with them.
