need a ham radio license
great little radio is all you want to do is listen to the airwaves. But, if you want to use it as a two-way radio, you must get a ham radio license. other than that, i don't know about battery life yet, but it is a nice radio. haven't tried programming it yet (will wait until licensed).

Sweet radio!
This vintage style radio/bluetooth is amazing! The sound quality is great! Connects easily to bluetooth. My husband loves that he can listen to AM/FM radio. The style is perfect for us! Very easy to use. Like a few reviewers stated, the dial is off a bit for the radio, but it's not a big deal for us.
