This is Good
Not so easy to program, but using the data cable and CHIRP it programs and can be used.Great for first or second HT unit, but it does have issues, like S L O W scanning.Can it be used - YESLow cost and does the job nicely.Good for a first unit, great for a field day.

It's pretty loud despite it's size. I was underestimating how loud it could get. I bought it as a gift but tempted to buy myself one. I recommend.
