Alligator clips are super secure.
I typically use an I-magnet that has the removal sticky base suction cup. I have been for years. I also have used several A/C vent type magnet holders. This product is far superior to any I have used in the past. The product is made very well of seemingly excellent materials. The magnet seems to hold a bit better than the I-magnet. I have no concern of my phone slipping off. The alligator clips with the hook-stop on the end and thumb screw hold fast. Its not coming off without the vent louver coming with. It is small and slender and sits off the vent enough not to block air flow. Great product so far for a very good price. I only gave it 4 stars just because I have only been using it for a week. If it holds up it is every bit a 5 star product.

Gets loud
Bought this because I wanted a portable boom box. I coach volleyball and I brought this to practice and it fills the whole gym with music. My students were surprised by how loud it was. This rocks our practices. Haven't used it outside yet but I would assume that it would do great at providing music for a outdoor party. One word of advice is play with the EQ settings and also if you notice the volume isn't as loud as normal then just charge it .

Short stand makes it hard to get a good field of v
I like that it works with both WiFi and over USB.The stand's arm is not very long, so it is hard to point it down over something more than an inch away from the base. For example, it would be no use for examining PCBs with just the included stand. I ended up using a "third hand" device with alligator clip, and clipping to the clear plastic piece, to get a little more flexibility.

Better design then the similar but with clip tip f
The ones with the clip tip that tightens to the vent grills. those ones were not long enough for my very car. this one, on the other hand, with all similar function but whole alligator clip design, worked perfect. you can clip this to anywhere like you're using small clamps.

light up dark places
I needed lighting under display shelving for our carved bears and this was perfect. easy to install and this new style connector is a breeze to use, no more of those alligator type connectors Will be purchasing more of these for other displays..
