Exactly what I needed. Dropped my PS4 while it was running and messed the whole thing up. I was worried I would have to buy a new one, but replacing the hard drive worked perfectly. Haven’t had any issues since, and this worked great. Saved me a lot of money.

Bought as a replacement for my PS4 hard drive, actually the replacement POS Seagate hybrid that failed within 3 months! Western Digital has always had a solid reputation for as long as I can remember, and I've personally never had a single issue with their products. Their drives simply tend to last, and hopefully that'll be the case with this disk.It's not hybrid or SSD even, but fear not--it's blazing fast for PS4 use. In fact, in comparison to the Seagate (which was actually designed for gaming, HAH!) which should've been noticeably faster, games are loading just as fast as the Seagate. I can't speak in regards to other applications for this drive such as within a laptop, but at least within the realm of the Playstation, this WD seems solid.This was by far my easiest swap. Ensure you've got your latest PS4 update on USB drive, install the WD, plug in your USB drive, power up the system, follow prompts, DONE! Seriously that easy. With the same attempted steps, it was a nightmare trying to get the Seagate to work with the PS4. Failure after failure until it finally worked--none of that garbage with WD.
