The $50 Chime pro finally recognized my expensive tri-band router and the Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus I read was a quality product from the reviews. The doorbell never found my 5 GHz networks no matter if it was placed less than 8 feet away. Please DON'T advertise the doorbell can operate on the 5 GHz band unless you guarantee it. I shouldn't have had to spend $50 more for the Chime Pro when the ad stated the doorbell could detect more than 2.4 GHz band!

I'm impressed with the battery life. I get at least 5 days. I wear my watch all day and night.The only problem I've had with it is that my wrist breaks out from the band. I'm not aware of how to find either a metal or cloth style band.

So I picked up one of these to evaluate, for our winter residence. I had a bear of a time getting the unit to connect to the internet. Support via this site was quick, but it did not have the steps i needed to get this working with my cell phone. However a search on the internet got me the answer I needed. It's simple My spectrum cable router is new. I cannot tell it what band to use. These cameras come in the 2.4 gig band, and they will automatically connect, however my phone was in the 5.6 band and I could not find a way to force it to the lower band. I found a video that explained my problem exactly. All I needed to do was walk out the back door until my cell phone connected to the 2.4 gig band. It will do it automatically. I also brought the camera out and powered it up. Since I already had the phone ap loaded it was just a matter of going through the set up steps. I had it up and working in 5 minutes. The key was to get the two on the same frequency band. The easiest way was to step out of the range of the High band, so the phone will connect to the low band and they will be able to talk. Once set up I walked back into the house and the phone switched back but it still works with the app. I hope this helps. Now for the camera, I'm still playing with it, so far so good. Pretty darn good for 30 bucks. Oh, there is NO zoom lens but the pan and tilt work fine. I may buy a couple more for my winter project. Darn Cheap, but feel solid.
