I prefer optical zoom over digital.
It's a little pricey for what is offered. Wished it was more optical rather than digital zoom. Also since it is digital, why not auto focus? Plus need optical adjust for eye piece.

Decent...Customer support is not helpful.
I can't give 5 stars due to the headache's and poor explanation from the sites videos on how to properly set these up....To get the loudest sound!!!!! You need to use the digital optical driver not the HEADPHONE DRIVER!!!!!!!It is not digital optical audio if your listening from the headphone driver. The video guide on the website has false information. Also using loudness equalization on your sound cards driver software such as Realtek makes the headphones way louder.

Commendable digital zoom
I quite like being able to switch the IR light off. The built-in illumination is quite powerful over a reasonable distance. Handy, good on batteries, easy to operate.

Decent basic cheap camera
Not having a clip gives limited camera angles. Sits nicely on the top of the screen but that’s about it. Is not compatible with zoom digital backgrounds. Works for basic school use.

Great optical out
The $40 sound card optical out just doesn’t cut it. You would think bits are bits since it’s still digital. This card has a optical out that does cut it. Lots of detail and resolution. If you want good sound for a multimedia computer this card will do it.

Decent speaker for the money.
The remote is a little finicky - you have to aim it right at the speaker. The sound is awesome, and it connects to the TV with an optical fiber digital audio connection.

it is a very good product however.....
so it does perfect for nite vision like they advertised, amazingly well, however, daytime viewing is not as great due to looking at an LCD screen, so the difference is looking thru bino's that are optical (using lenses) or viewing thru this unit that is Digital, not as crystal clear as optical, so the zoom is not at far as i would have liked but i still am impressed with the nite vision function, so for me will be a nite time tool instead. and the fact it can record or take pic's helps tremendously.

Great PTZ with automatic tracking
I know most of these cameras are all the same under the name brand, this one is no different. It is a generic version camera with generic software that is running on many ohter no-name brand cameras. It is fine, does what it needs to do. I use this with Blue Iris no problem.The main reason I purchased this camera was the 5x OPTICAL zoom and the automatic tracking features. The Optical Zoom works great, not incredible picture wise but better than no zoom (or digital zoom). The automatic tracking feature works really well, once it is locked on it will pan to keep the person in frame (including doing almost a 360 turn.I do not trust the firmware in this camera, so I have my route block it's access to the internet. I view it only through Blue Iris.
