This external flash is just as described by other reviewers: an excellent buy and a versatile tool to provide additional lighting to photographs. The flash on my Nikon 1 J1 uses a preflash just milliseconds before the actual flash that is used to illuminate the photograph. The Neewer TT560 has a switch on the back of the flash which can be set to disregard the camera's preflash and sync with the flash which will be used to illuminate the photo. This is the setting to ensure compatibility with cameras that use a preflash before the actual flash, and it works flawlessly with my Nikon 1 J1.The flash intensity of the TT560 does not take into account the flash intensity of my camera, so the power setting on the back of the TT560 must be adjusted up or down to ensure proper exposure. This may take a bit of trial and error but the results are worth it.

Built in trigger, works well
Great value for a flash with built in trigger. I bought two of them for off camera flash photography.

Last minute solution
I bought this flash because it was super cheap and i basically just needed a flash for to shoot at a club the next day. Im used to TTL remote speed flashes but this helped me get through the night and recommend it to any amateur because you are forced to adjust flash manually. A very good "starter" flash.

I purchased this to replace a broken Canon Flash.The Flash of course is much, much cheaper and it works as it should.Kind of finicky about power and flash.With trial and error you can get really good results.

Best flash for your buck
Best flash for your buck. This flash was well worth the money it’s reliable and easy to use. When I don't feel like carrying my expensive flash this is the one I like to take.

Powerful lighting
wow this flash! day or night indoors or outside, it works no matter where I shoot. I shot with it for a whole wedding and it didn't die on me. this flash dominates my camera's flash, no question!
