Pretty awesome Gel Light set
With everything going on we are upgrading some of our home studio equipment. We used to use the old gel style lights where you had to set them up with a CFL bulb and then slip the gels over the light. They would end up getting really hot and were a pain to change. You always had to wait till they cooled down before you could swap them over. These new LED lights fix all those issues. These really are a huge difference in light quality and easy of use. The colored lenses simply just slip over the light and you are on your way. It's a lot easier then using the old gel lenses with clips. This is just the light head so it's great if you want to replace an old light on a stand already. They simply go on and lock in place. The LED chipset is really nice. You can adjust the brightness instantly. I love how it has a built in fan which keeps the unit cool. No more having to worry about a broken bulb or waiting for the bulbs to cool down. They even include a softbox hood so this light can be used in different ways. Saves time and money which is a win win for me. If you are looking to upgrade your light set you can't really go wrong with this light. Just make sure you have your own stand since this is just for the light only which makes it great for upgrades.

Great first action cam
I bought this Action camera for my 13-year-old. We had previously owned a GoPro hero four, but It leaked shortly after the warranty expired. He loved filming himself doing crazy things on his skateboard and jumping off the dock. For a $50 camera, I would say we got our moneys worth already. The users manual was easy to download and print off of my phone. The suggested app,CamKing, did not work, but the alternative app AKASO DV worked fine. The picture quality and sound are much better than I expected for a camera in this price range. If we get a few weeks of fun out of this camera, I will feel like we got more than our moneys worth. We have not tested the waterproofness of this camera, but the case seems to seal tight.I will update this review after we have been to the beach.

Works great with Mac, just have to know how to acc
this worked great on a MacBook Retina 2015 unit. It is indeed “plug and play” but unlike Windows, when you plug it in, you won’t see anything happen on your screen. Whatever app you’re using for video, you must select the NexiGo camera to use it. In QuickTime, when you start a new video recording, there’s a drop down in the recording pop up/window where you can select the camera. Same for web apps in Safari and Chrome. Since this camera uses a USB A plug, you’ll need a dongle for your laptop with USB C ports. Better lighting and higher quality image than the built-in “FaceTime HD” camera.

Value for your money
I had a recurring roof leak that would dry up and only happen when it was really cold outside. It was difficult to gauge when or why it would leak so I wanted a thermal imaging camera. Home Depot rents one for $50/4 hours and with the amount of times I wanted to see if water was there, it was more worth to buy one.Attached 2 pictures - one is the camera w/ view of the back - the other is an image uploaded directly to the computer. For reference the area is covered in 5/8's sheetrock. This camera has no frills. But it works. Battery life is good. Image quality is good. I run Windows10 and had no issues with uploading pictures to my PC. For everyday work, this camera is great.

Hubby wanted a different camera until we read the
Hubby said he knew which camera he wanted. Staples had run out and amazon’s price was crazy! Then we noticed this camera, read the reviews and decided to give it a try - after all, so many people liked it so they can’t all be wrong! I can confirm that it was (apparently) easy to install, the picture quality is good, the camera sits on top of the screen - so (once again - apparently) no more up the nose shots ...eeeew! It’s a good buy, great price and would recommend it. The pictures on amazon led us to believe that it would be a big chunky camera, thankfully it is a neat and small enough.Quick, reliable delivery with Prime.

Excellent Beginner Scope
Prior to unboxing, assembling and trying this 'scope I read a scathing review. The reviewer claimed that he could see nothing through the 'scope. If I recall correctly, he or she said that the objective lens is too small to gather sufficient light. So, I expected nothing good when I tried it out. I believe that one should be VERY careful to state that the review is based SOLELY on his or her viewpoint and experience, and NOT make blanket negative comments.I say this because my experience with this 'scope is 180 degrees out of phase with that review.I do want to give you a few caveats. First, the instructions are really light. You will likely have to think for yourself when assembling the thing. That said, it was EXTREMELY easy to assemble. There is no equatorial mount or any bells and whistles at all. So, as you unpack the thing, do not be intimidated. Just set the parts out and you will see how they go together.Next, I cannot seem to get any value from the finder scope. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but I can't seem to find any utility in it, from positioning it to focusing it. No can do. Keep in mind that this is mounted on a lightweight, simple tripod. It is NOT very steady. If you touch it, for positioning or focusing, wait a second or two for it to stop vibrating. I would imagine that, in a wind, the 'scope will be pretty much unusable. But that is purely conjecture on my part. Now, for the good.First, the objective lens, 70mm, was quite good at light gathering. I had no problems trying to see things. Next, I expected the lenses and mirror to be fairly bad with respect to chromatic aberration. For the unfamiliar, this is the characteristic of e lens which causes a prism-like effect around the edges of objects. Surprisingly, to me, I found NO chromatic aberration or, if there was any, to me it was imperceptible. For lenses of this price range, I was pleasantly shocked.I have yet to try this out on celestial objects but, based on my daylight experiment, I do not expect to be disappointed. One last thing. When I first put eye to lens, I saw nothing. It did not matter which lens, and with or without the Barlow, I tried. The field of view was miniscule. Then it hit me. I wear glasses. So, I took them off and, VOILA!!! Full field of view and completely focusable, even for my poor eye. The moral here is that, if you were glasses, removed them before viewing and use the 'scopes focusing knob to bring the object(s) into focus. All said, this telescope delivered much more than I expected. It is extremely inexpensive, but it performs very well. I don't think it matters much how old you are. If you are new to astro-viewing or if you simply want an inexpensive 'scope, this is a great buy. You never know what you might discover up there!!!My congratulations to the manufacturer, designer and engineer(s). This isa REALLY good product.

Great little package, very happy, excellent value
I received this yesterday and got to play with. My initial impression was very good. Be condition of the camera was very good it was easy to unpack and came with the number of accessories that are going to come in very handy. My initial testing shows that this camera is going to do exactly what I needed to do with very good quality. I find the camera to be a great value and the image quality from what I have seen is very very good. The remote control is going to be perfect.Unlike some others I did not have any challenges connecting to the app with my phone. And while it is inconvenient to need to switch the Wi-Fi to connect to the camera, I do not feel that it will impact what I want to or my intended use for the camera. The documentation is good and while the English is not perfect it gets across the information you need. As with any new technology there is a learning curve and I look forward to having a lot of fun doing that.

Great Hardware, Interface takes some getting used
The Akaso EK7000 Pro takes great photos and videos, when you can get it to take them.I bought the camera to go on mixed trail and road bike rides. The camera comes with a wide variety of mounts including an underwater housing. It also has a wristband type trigger so if you say have the camera mount on your helmet you can start/stop videos. The challenge is with the menu system, it bears no resemblance to the paper or online documentation. It apparently has numerous sub-menus which are difficult to navigate. They need to just have them appear in order so you can loop through them.Having said that once you get the camera set up, I needed to shut off the power save mode so I could trigger videos remotely on demand, I think it will take great videos. During the test bike ride the camera went to sleep, power-saving mode, and did not take any videos. With power-saving off I hope to take some great shots. The test videos I took just sitting at my desk were sharp, clear and with a nice balance of color, lighting and shadows.I've been using the camera for some several weeks now. Once, you get it configured how you want, the camera takes great photos and video. I use camera helmet mounted when riding. I have the remote mounted on my handlebar. You need to double click the remote to take a photo or turn-on video:1. once to wake up the camera2. to take the image. The app works well to download the images onto my iphone, you just need to remember to activate the camera's builtin wifi and connect to that particular wifi with your phone.Like all modern electronics, the hardware is great, but the documentation could use some improvement/usability-testing.It's been 3 years NOW, the batteries have failed but I was sent no-cost replacments by the manufacturer. Their customer service is fantastic. The camera still takes great pictures. As to getting photos off the camera, like all electronic cameras you are best to just remove the SIM and plug it in directly into your computer or SIM adaptor. There are less layers of hardware and software to deal with and you get immediate response.

An upgrade to an already awesome lifestyle action
Polaroid Cube+ 1440p Mini Lifestyle Action Camera with Wi-Fi & Image Stabilization (Black)
I got my Polaroid Cube+ a couple of days ago and I am still testing out shooting videos and photos in different conditions but i wanted to share the results so far. I am very satisfied with the video and photo quality of the camera on the Cube+.The Cube+ comes in a nice see through packaging and includes:- A micro usb charging cable (100 mm long)- An adjustable lanyard- A carabiner clip- A protective rubber casing- A micro SD card 8GBI also got a free waterproof case as a part of pre-order deal which is pretty cool.Cube+ has a wide angle lens with 124 degrees Field of View which is fantastic and I am very impressed with the coverage area it provides. The top of the camera has a Wi-Fi button, a multifunction button and the indicator LED. The bottom is a strong magnet which can be used to attach the camera to any metallic surface. The strength of this magnet is strong but I won't recommend it for use other than on stationary surfaces. Also the strength of the magnet is substantially reduced when camera is in its protective rubber casing. Under the rear cover on the back is the micro USB port for charging & data transfer and the micro SD card slot. The micro SD card slot in the Cube+ can support upto 128GB. But with the 90 minute battery life, I think the maximum size needed should not exceed 64GB considering data transfers after every battery cycle. However, the camera can still be used even when it is plugged in and thus the 128GB can come in handy. There is no switch under the rear cover to change between 720p and 1080p as was available in the original Cube. The Cube+ has an 8 Megapixel sensor which can record videos and shoot photos as follows:Video - 1440p at 30fps - 1080p at 30 or 60fps - 720p at 30 or 60fpsSlow Motion Video - 720p at 120fpsTime Lapse - 1 second or 3 second time lapseStill photo - 8 megapixel - 6 megapixel - 3 megapixelBurst mode - 3 megapixel at 10fps with a maximum of 100 photos at a time. All the videos are shot in .mp4 format using H.264 codecs and all the still images are .jpgAll of this functionality can be achieved through the very easy to use Polaroid Cube+ app.The camera has a multifunction button which can be used for a variety of functions such as switch ON/OFF, take a photo, start/stop video recording. The LED next to the button along with the beeps is a very smart feedback system. The product manual gives all the information about the LED indicators and can be found at https://www.polaroidcube.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/pola-eu-cube-plus-user-guide-ar6-2015-10-13.pdfThis button is very convenient to take instant photos and videos but the real functionality of the camera is unlocked when it is paired with app on a smartphone. The app gives you a live view of the camera and enables you to change modes and start/stop video recordings. The Wi-Fi button on the top of the camera makes it very easy to connect to the app. The Polaroid Cube+ app can use a few upgrades but it is still pretty smooth. As the camera is incomplete without the smartphone app, here are a few awesome features (apart from the mode changing, start/stop recording & taking photos) I like about the app:- It lets you trim start and end frames of your video. ( Not supported on Android as of now)- You can designate the start and end points of the slow motion in a video.- Lets you save a still from a video.- Lets you save photos/videos directly to your mobile device. (iPhone does not let you store videos at 1440p, max at 1080p)Pros:- At just 35 X 35 X 35mm, it is tiny and can fit into a ladies purse, a jacket pocket etc. (See the picture with a credit card)- It is weather resistant and splash proof (With waterproof case It can go into the water upto 10m).- The built-in mic has good sound quality. The voice recorded was very crisp and could be heard very clearly on playback.- Image stabilization on the Cube+ is pretty good. I have not done extensive testing but the videos so far have been very smooth.- Low-light videos came out a lot better than i expected.- The FOV @124 degrees gets a lot of detail in the photo.- Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440) 1440p- Camera is fully functional while charging (Using a portable charger the battery life can be extended beyond 90 mins. Can also be used as a dash cam by pairing it up with a car charger.)- Built in Wi-Fi provides live viewfinder and real time controls through a smartphone based app.Cons:- Battery life - Just 90 mins- The protective rubber casing provides a lot of protection but covers the led indicator (you can still hear the beeps) and the wi-fi button(It can still be pressed if you know where it is located as the case is pretty soft). It also covers the rear cover and makes it impossible to charge or access the SD card. Also, if the lanyard is attached, the camera lens points downwards(pointing front would have been a lot convenient). The protective rubber casing also reduces the magnetic strength of the camera.- Micro USB provided in the box is a bit too small.- The Polaroid Cube+ app is a bit slow and can use a few upgrades. The live viewfinder can be laggy at some times.I think all these shortcomings can be ignored considering the price and the features it has to offer. It is a very nice upgrade from the previous version and is a good value for money. I am very satisfied with my Polaroid Cube+ as of now and will recommend it to anyone who wants to buy it.I will soon be uploading an unboxing video and a few comparison photo shots from the Cube+ and my iPhone 6. I will keep updating the review as I keep using my Polaroid Cube+.
