Grandchild loves his camera
I especially like this gift for my 4 y/o grandson because it encourages his love of photography without the use of a phone (camera).

This was a great Christmas gift for our daughter as she is interested in photography but not ready for a professional camera. She is enjoying it a lot.

Nice camera for vlogging and photography.
Fully featured in a small package.I own a Canon T6S with a few nice glass and the only thing I miss on the M50 is having seperate dial for Aparture and shutter speed. It's very small compared to the T6S and looks silly when used with the adapter and the Tamron 70-200G2, but it works great.Dual pixel focus is a blessing, faster and more accurate than the T6S specially on video work.Take time to analyse the limitation of the 4k before you buy (many youtube videos on the subject)All in all, it's a great second camera for what I do !

Purchased as a gift
Purchased as a gift for my granddaughter who got a DLSR camera and wants to earn photography. She hasn’t said anything negative about it to me.

Definitely not a landscape photography camera, but
This camera does a pretty good job of 360 degree videography. Due to its straight and slim profile, and the standard 1/4 inch screw mount slot at the bottom. it's the best on the market for invisible selfie stick shots. Competitors which use the standard GoPro type mount are far more likely to have tiny misalignments which will give you the ghost stick problem in your image. The colors and clarity are quite good in good light, but lose something in less than perfect light. If you're hiking in a shadowed area, or in the time before dusk/just after sunrise, the colors will get dull and muddy. The HDR function seems to give duller colors pretty much full time, so I stopped using it.The one really irritating problem is that the voice command function became problematic after just a few uses. It will only respond to voice commands about 1/4 of the time, if that. You can hold it right in front of you and say "stop recording" loudly and clearly, and it will keep on recording. Get used to trimming the ends of your videos, because you'll need to trim out the part where you lower the extended selfie stick and stop the recording manually.
