Never use this to clean from top to bottom vertically on your sensor. This may pick up dirt particles outside the top and bottom area around of the sensor as the shutter curtain naturally travels in the same orientation and may send debris onto the swab and scratch the sensor. Use a blower to lodge out loose particles first and only swab horizontally on the sensor when cleaning.

I've been cleaning my sensor for years using the lint free clothes folded over a small rubber applicator. It worked but it was a hassle and the "lint free" cloth occasionally left lint on the sensor anyway. These swap are individually packaged and ready to go. The fabric seems to be a fine weave and truly was lint free.I was amazed how well it cleaned the sensor in one swipe.

Does the job. You really need to know what you’re doing.Peter McKinnon’s pro tip is actually spot on.Close your bathroom while running the shower hot for a few minutes (no need for steam but enough moisture that you feel the difference inside vs out). This helps with dust not flying around your gear. Clean as you deem necessary. One swab dry in both directions then a wet one same way, or if preferred, in reversed order.Always A/B. I recommend closing aperture to the max, and the biggest focal length you have and check against the lightest colored/well lit area around you.

I was recently shooting some product photos on a white background and was having to post-process a lot of small grey dirty spots out in every photo. At first I thought it was the background sheet but as I experimented with different shooting positions, the spots stayed the same. Then when I inspected the sensor I couldn't believe how dirty it was! I don't remember the youtube video that pointed me to this brand, but it did the job. I did end up using 4 swabs out of the 12 supplied with the kit. I tried the first one dry as the instructions stated and then the next 2 with the wetting solution. Although it looked really clean after the 3rd, I did the 4th one just because there were still one or two questionable spots left. Now it looks perfect and when I shoot the white background as suggested in the instructions - No more spots!

I’m new to mirrorless cameras, and was loving my Sony until I started picking up some serious sesnsor spots when I shot at higher f/stops. The obvious reason was that the sensor was not protected by a mirror like in a DSLR, and I was shooting with primes and having to change lenses regularly. I tried using a blower and brush to clean the sensor, but to no avail. Enter these little guys. With one application, I removed all but one sensor spot. That spot would likely come off with another application, but it is in the bottom corner of the sensor and unlikely to be noticed, so I think I’ll leave it for now and get it next time the sensor starts getting dirty.

I had a resilient piece of dust on my sensor that the blower wouldn't remove. I followed the instructions exactly(1) clean the work area with the blower(2) use a blower to clean the camera body and sensor area(3) use dry swab across sensor(4) (not needed) use 2 drops of cleaner to wet-swab the sensorThankfully I have a bright / focused LED desk lap that made it easy to see the spot on my sensor. After the dry swab, the dust spec was gone. Here are my tips(1) Clean your body and then sensor frequently using a blower. This alone has prevented and removed 99% of dust on my sensor. FYI, cameras typically have an adhesive strip under the sensor to trap dust. Keeping dust out of your camera body will allow the adhesive to stay clean and do it's job(2) Find a focused & bright light to spot the dust with your vision. Doing the reference photo is a slow process -- it works, but it's a long cycle from clean -> check -> re-clean

I used these on my D300 and D7100 DX format sensors. It takes 2 swipes with a wet and then dry swab to cover the sensor. 4 of these swabs cost less than 1 of other brands. Be sure to apply enough pressure to just bend the plastic stick with the wet swab and then immediately switch to the dry swab to finish. There is no magic to this it is really quite straight forward. If you are not happy with the results of the first pass then repeat again. The low cost of these swabs gives leeway where more expensive brands would cause hesitation about the cost of a second pass. This was my first attempt at cleaning my sensors and it is really no big deal. I plan to make this a twice yearly ritual.

These work perfectly every single time. Been using them for years to clean my Canon and Sony sensors myself. Spend $15 on this cleaning kit instead of spending $100 to have someone else do it for you. It's super easy to do and hard to mess up as far as I can tell. Owned well over 20+ cameras over the last 5 years and cleaned them all myself (I buy and sell gear) and they always turn out perfectly fine.
