K&F Concept CK02 16mm APS-C format cleaning stick set (16PCS cleaning stick + 20ml cleaning liquid bottle + PU coated palm dust-free rubber gloves)
SKU: SKU.1647
I purchased this kit after watching a video on YouTube of someone using it. I own a Sony a6000, and I made the BIG mistake in the past of blowing on the sensor to clean it (with my mouth) and then wiping it with a microfiber after realizing there was now spit on my sensor. I photograph UTV races about 6-8 times a year, and my gear is usually completely covered in dust, and sometimes I need to switch lenses while out at the track so some dust ends up on the sensor. I cleaned my sensor with this kit, and it left it looking like new other than 2 small hairline scratches I managed to get on the sensor probably from using the microfiber, but they are not noticeable in pictures.A couple of words of advice:1. When you open the little bottle, there's a small plastic cap that you need to remove to expose the hole for the cleaning liquid to come out.2. I personally found that a single drop on a swab was more than enough to clean my sensor which was filthy.3. Swap the swap across the sensor several times with the side where you put the solution, then use the other side to dry and clean up anything left behind.I have plenty of swabs and solution left over to last me a year. Highly recommend this if you need to clean your sensor, and don't forget to purchase an "air bulb" to blow off your sensor instead of using your mouth.

After having my Nikon D7200 for the past year, I started to see some spots on my pics. After exhausting all the normal cleaning procedures, I finally took the leap to clean my sensor. Being a crop sensor at 15.6mm, I ordered these, which states they come in at 16mm. The bottom line is they work. After applying 2 drops of the cleaner, did a swipe to the right, turned over the swab and did a swipe to the left. The only issue is these swabs appear to be smaller then 16mm, and even slightly smaller then my sensor size of 15.6mm. It takes 2 swipes to cover the whole sensor. But they do work. My sensor was completely clean after the 2 swipes. I would buy these again if I can not locate a more appropriately sized swab.

I was worry that I'd hurt the sensor in the beginning, but now I'm so glad that I bought this kit. I watched a few Youtube videos on the proper cleaning procedures before I did it myself, and the result turned out perfect! I've attached the before/after photos.

Other cleaners use methanol which absorbs water vapor and thereby is easily contaminated. Not a problem with this solution.I like having the swabs ready to use. This is a well thought out product.

I bought it for the swabs and it works as intended. Sturdy enough that they don't break when applying a little bit of pressure. It still pushes the dust around so best to get a anti-static brush, a stamp, and a be in a clean room if you're OCD but for the most part it isn't noticeable without direct light shinning on your sensor surface. The included fluid is a bonus but I'll say there are better fluids, however it isn't bad considering it's included in the price

Why 4 and not 5 stars. Something maybe minor to others, but thought I would note it for those that care. The bottle that the cleaner fluid comes is was VERY hard to squeeze out a drop. Makes it difficult when trying to get the precise amount of fluid on the swab. That said, it can be done. The results of this product speak for itself, it cleaned my sensor very well. The instructions say use one dry pass and see if that fixes the problem. if not, do a wet pass, then a dry to dry off any residue. My sensor was so dirty I went straight for the wet pass as the first pass. The directions say use 1-2 drops on the swab, use a 60 degree angle and swipe one way, flip the swab and swipe the other way. Then use a dry swab and do that again.I did one round like that and it got 90% of the dust off. There were still some stubborn spots so I did break out 2 more swabs and did another wet and dry pass.I will definitely buy this brand when I run out.See photos for the results.

These work well, would have been better value for money if they were double ended, between my wife and myself we have 4 cameras so nearly used all we bought on one clean!

It came in the factory box within a padded envelope, but in perfect condition. These are high qualty swabs. Better then expected. I would buy from UES Happystep again without hesitation. For what its worth, I was able to swipe back and forth about six times with the same swab. The first few swipes where when still wet, but the last few swipes where after it had quickly dried. I had blown air on the swab between swipeing each time to blow off any dust. The result is that my EOS 70d Canon sensor is cleaner then it was from new. Actuley perfectly clean now. Not one speck anywhere to be seen. Also for what it is worth, I used an inspection loupe. This loupe made the job so much faster and easier. I would never attempt a sensor cleaning with out a loupe.

It's been a couple years since I sent my Sony A77's off to get their sensors clean. I also have a A7 and a A6500 that could probably use a cleaning as well. You don't know just how dirty your sensor is until you shoot a bright blue cloudless sky. Spent an afternoon cleaning the spots from a recent shoot in Lightroom. Both the 77's were pretty dirty.Since my last cleaning the guy who owned the local camera shop decided to change his business. It's now a gun shop. Don't blame, him there's probably more job security than cameras these days.To send them off would cost $45 each plus shipping. About $60 each total.Got these as a stopgap until I could find somebody more local since I have photography stuff almost every weekend.Cleaned the sensors no more crud. Pretty happy with results. Some hints.1. Work on a table in a clean environment. This is not something you do while watching TV while eating pizza with the dog on your lap. Take your time, read instructions. Swipe, don't scrub with the brushes. Don't drench the brush in cleaning solution.2. Have a magnifying glass and a good light source. I used my wife's needlepoint magnifying glass and my 200 lumen LED flashlight. Makes it easier to see the big spots.3. Use a quality air blower. Recommend the Gittos.4. Have a new set of camel hair brushes. Use them only in the most dire instances for cleaning the sensor. I use them on the A77's transparent mirror only. Use them, cover them as soon as you are done.5. DO NOT use compressed air in the mirror box. You will only move the dust around or worse yet, drive it deeper into the box. If you are really unlucky you get a squirt of the frozen CO2 on the sensor, making the job 100% harder.
