For the money you can’t beat it! I was on the fence between buying a GoPro and this ( I bought both ) and from my experience it’s just as good as the higher dollar options.Only con to this is the native app isn’t as user friendly as GoPro but is very useable!Uses all the attachments and things available for GoPro. So if you’re looking for a good action cam and not brand loyal this is a very good alternative.

For being as inexpensive as it is, the camera appears to be a quality piece of equipment. The body is solid and does not feel cheap. The controls are easy to understand and use. The image quality is great, and the features are plenty. The battery life is surprisingly long. Plus, you get two.The only downside is the sound quality. Although it does allow you to plug in an external microphone (ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH ONE SPECIFIC AKASO MIC), the audio quality is really bad with either mic. The sound is harsh and distorted. I did manage a fix or work-around. If you EQ audio in a DAW like Audacity, you can improve the sound tremendously. Since the issue is fixable, the bad audio is not a deal breaker.I've had the camera for three months. I mount it on my bike and my helmet. I've dropped it twice. It still works and looks fine. Love this little camera. Good stabilization and good video quality. Looking forward to using it on the next road trip. You can't beat it for the money...also plenty of accessories.

This camera is perfect for doing time-lapse and slow-motion. We used it to ale video of a water bottle rocket launch, and the video quality was great. We’re looking forward to doing time-lapse storm photography in the spring.

This review for V50X was prompted by AKASO and has a reward which will not skew my opinion.The camera works well with a long battery life. The picture quality is good considering the tiny lens. I have many Nikon cameras and lenses of higher quality but this little camera is great for on the go movies. I am a retired software architect so i don't use their tablet or phone app as they usually fall short of expectation. I just put the card in my computer and use some good editing software. I don't require remote monitoring as I record.This camera is simple to use with a quality at price point that can't be beat. The software on the camera has a lot of features and works reasonably well and is simple to use.UPDATE 11/16/2020I received a reward from AKASO for my review. I have no problem with their public relation attention as it shows me they are trying to show customer service is their focus. And that is how they get the fifth star. I am suspicious of reviews and their authenticity across the board. Before ordering this camera I ordered one directly from GoPro based on their promotional price. They wanted to charge me tax on the non promotional price and then reduce that amount. That is not legal in my state and I told them so. They argued that their "Tax Team" agreed on that outcome. Law and common pricing decorum do not agree. I call it plain dishonest! I cancelled my order and went with AKASO. Lower cost and better customer care.

Very good action camera for the price. I plan to add an external microphone for better voice recording. But the video quality is really good

Got the camera in the mail & it looks very nice but the items that say they are included are not in the box. Do not buy if you expect it to come with everything

I purchased this to make demonstration videos and it worked well. I will look for a better way to mount it to my head, as I didn't have a helmet and had no need to wear one to make a classroom demo. Image quality was good and stabilization was good but I was not doing back flips or action stuff, just doing a POV in the house. My only problem is the sound. I would have liked a sound input option, to be clear It doesn't say that it has any such feature, I had just made an assumption.Overall a good little camera for the money.
