Honestly you get what you paid for. Its a $100 "4k" camera. I would say its more a glorified dash cam.I needed a inexpensive camera for making demo carpentry videos and I purchased this camera in particular after some research.The negative in my opinion is the wide angle view you get while recording. I have worked with setting trying to correct this but every recording always looks like a wide panoramic angle. The 4k quality advertised is not all there but really its as best as you will get for the money.The camera is very picky on the type of SD cards you use in it.The battery life is about an hour 30 min span in 1080, they do include two batteries and if the battery dies while recording it will save up to the moment it turned off.The prospective case prevents usb microphone to be connected, so while it does protect the camera from damage the issue here is either protect your camera and have no sound or use it with microphone and risk dropping it and breaking it. If you plan on leaving in place to record than it should be ok.The sound is dreadful to say the least. Even with the microphone I would say its ok to say the least.Settings are very easy to get to and user friendly.The separate accessories set is loaded but all made of plastic so not really made for extreme outdoor use.Overall if you want a no sound stationary camera with decent quality than this is the one, otherwise just spend the money and get your self a better one.

Image stab is really good and has superior image quality. This is my "on the go" cam for all my projects. I also use this at my REAL JOB to document my daily task completion and site verification. Having this unit really helps verify my site status. The battery life is good and unit comes with an extra battery.

Bought 2, this v50x and a Brave4 Pro. The features and touch screen are well worth the extra $20. Haven’t had much time to play with it but so far so good

This camera replaced my old GoPro. It does just about everything as well or better. All of the GoPro accessories are compatible.As I am not a regular user, I appreciate the vastly lower price point.

I purchased this action camera for my 10 year old, very active grandson! We are thrilled with it! He is able to use it skateboarding, biking, and even in the pool for his underwater antics! Couldn’t be happier! Great purchase at a great price. Good quality and good battery life, too.

i like the external mic ,(ordered separatly for like 10 bux) the sound is great , the recorded sound is not as good with the internal mic but usable ..i also like the 20mp still camera , is it as good as my Phone cam ? ,not in specs but is still quite amazing in quality of pictures . i cant wait to take it on my summer adventures ..from the youtube reasearch i could not see buying a gopro (i am not a pro ) its just a hobby for me to play with so i am very impressed with the v50x .. side note i was looking at buying the Akaso brave 7 LE since it has front and rear screen for selfies but the brave 7LE does not have an external mic option

Just received this camera as a gift. Haven’t had a chance to get it out on the trail yet, but just by setting it up and handling it, it seems good build quality and set was easy.

Awesome product!! Only downside is the sound doesnt work wen the waterproof housing is on , but thats no big deal! Love this camera!!
