We used to have a GoPro action camera, which disappointed us each time we used it. We came across the Akaso action camera’s and decided to give it a try - you certainly couldn’t beat the price! So far we’ve gone to the Rocky Mountains & the Smoky Mountains for hiking trips, and mounted the action camera on our heads. We hiked for probably 6-7 hours straight, constant videotaping in high quality settings and only had to change the battery twice (it beeps to let you know when the battery is dead). We decided to have low expectations considering our prior experience with action camera’s, and were AMAZED when looking at our video footage. The mountains and sun rays were captured beautifully! It brings us such comfort knowing we can truly enjoy the hike without having to take videos on our cameras, since the V50X does it for us! Do yourself a favor and give this one a try - you won’t be disappointed! :-)

While covid has limited my ability to utilize this camera for what I bought it for, I've been able to use it for various other activities and found it to be a really good option as a budget cam. Battery life has been good, the image quality has lived up to my expectations and the included accessories get the job done.

I purchased this quality Akaso V50 camera to use while trail riding on my horse. It was really easy to buy a helmet connector, and then simply use the handy wrist remote. I am happy with the picture quality, ease-of-use of the camera, and especially impressed that I can easily purchase accessories to accommodate wearing on my helmet, chest, or other means. The camera and clear protective case is sturdy and I expect this to last for many years. The camera includes two batteries for convenience and extended recording time. The included helmet attachment was not curved to accommodate the rounded shape of my helmet. Easily remedied by purchasing an adjustable helmet harness, which will also be easier to notice if it comes off, so I don’t lose the camera while I duck under branches. The camera has automatic shut off to protect the batteries. I was manually turning on the camera before starting my trail ride. So of course by the time I got to starting the recording with the remote wristband, the camera had turned off. Now that I figured this out, I appreciate the battery/data saving feature. It’s great to use the video for training purposes, vacations, or to enjoy watching some beautiful green scenery of you and your horse, when you’re sitting at home in the dead of winter. I am not a tech person, and like things to be simple. This camera offers simple use, and many more additional features for those who want to use them. I’ll be learning more features as I go.

Overall the product was advertised, purchased to use on a cruise but Covid prevented that. Very Similar to a gopro. Primary reason for purchase was for the convenience of the remote record/pic dongle. Comes in handy if camera is on a stick. Overall menus and operation are fairly intuitive. Would purchase again.

I think this is a great camera I have mounted it to my boat for a hunting very nice wide angle picture would definitely recommend it for this kind of application have not tried it anywhere else but looking forward to putting it on the four wheeler with this summer

Very user friendly, it is everything that I expected.

The camera as far as I can tell is wonderful and will serve the purpose it was bought for, hiking, diving, etc. However, I noticed when I received my box that the protective case had a hairline break in it before I had even gotten a chance to use it. The crack runs from the front button to the lower side button. I am disappointed as I wouldn’t want to dive with this case having a crack in it now. Luckily I noticed in advance...

We originally bought the camera to use while we went downhill skiing. Since the snow has not cooperated yet this season we used it in the house and outside just to see how it works. So far so good. The remote works as intended, the images we as expected (nice and clear) and my son is super excited to be heading to the slopes with this. The only thing that I can say negative about the camera is that the external microphone doesn't pick up everything so talking or external noises sometimes can't be heard very well.This is our first action camera so I did have some trouble getting it set up. I called their customer service team and the gal that helped me was very nice. I actually thought my camera was broken and she sent out a new one within a day and I got it in 2 days...and just for reference the camera was not broken...I was pushing the wrong button to turn it on which my son conveniently pointed out. I called their customer service again to rectify the problem that I made and they said to just send it back and we'll call it good. I actually liked the camera so much I was willing to buy this other one for my fiance. It is just so small and handy he wants to use it to hunt with.We will be using it in a couple weeks when we hit the slopes so we'll see how it goes then but for now....this would be a definite repeat buy! And again, if there is a problem their customer service was really easy and friendly. You don't see that with every customer service encounter any more!!

This camera works great and has fantastic quality! The best part to me is the user interface and how easy it was to setup, use, and customize to my liking! Definitely recommend for it's price!
