This camera is easy to set up and takes great pictures. Night vision is the best one we have owned so far. The only thing for me is that you can't easily point the camera in the exact position you want. The camera is on the door that swings away. If the battery compartment were in the door and the camera in the back/base it would be much easier to point the camera at the exact spot I want. Just food for thought. Seems like it might be a simple change. :) I thought about sending it back but I think I'm keeping it.

For the price, this camera works great! The motion detect doesn’t work as well at night (things need to be closer than during the daylight to trigger the camera.) Image quality is great, video quality is great, and can pick up audio fairly well too. I use it as a security camera on my property and it has worked very well. So far I have purchased four of these cameras and have not regretted that decision at all!

Hard to place if you do not have the proper width tree or post. Strap broke at the clasp end after 3rd try to use it. It is easy to use, got a great photo of a possum.

I use this camera only in video mode and primarily at night to record nocturnal wildlife in my back yard. I will start with the negatives:The only things I don't like about this camera are rather small issues that I can put up with. My biggest criticism is that each video starts with a completely black screen with no image or identifiable information (such as date, time, temperature, etc.). Therefore, you have to start watching the video before you know what you will be looking at or know the time, etc. Also, there is a slight delay in the audio after the video starts (maybe 1 second). Finally, if recording at sunrise or sunset when the lighting is just right (or rather wrong), the video will show up very blurry. All that said, here are the positives:The quality of both the video and the audio are outstanding in both daylight and complete darkness. I have owned 9 different cameras and this camera is by far superior in terms of both visual and audio quality. It lights up the wildlife I am filming better than any other camera, but does not reveal any infrared glow, just as advertised. It also captures features clearly at a longer distance than many of my other cameras. I hope it stands the test of time because if it does, I will definitely buy this again in the future.

I use this camera most for elk scouting, but have had some great black bear action and the sound is actually a little delayed but is the best camera for the money I have had.

Using it for human surveillance. Too bad it's so exposed as it must Not be behind glass to trigger. IR sensors don't work thru glass. Physics always wins. These long-duration cams only turn on long enough to take the picture, unlike plug-in cams that use the continuous video to detect a trigger thru glass, that would kill the battery quickly. IR sensors of trail cams are passive until triggered and can run for months on AA alkalines. So, if you want to monitor from inside, you must use timed triggers. This nice cam is fully configurable for both. Outside, unlike animals, humans will simply destroy it or steal it if they see it. Paging thru thousands of photos on the cam is possible, but using your computer is much better as scanning software can quickly find the triggering offenders. Each picture is a fantastic high def thing. Over 81,000 16K photos fit on a 128GB card. 1080p HD video can store over 14 hours of HD video of your favorite 2 or 4 or more legged subjects. Cheap alkaline batteries took a 16K photo, every 5 seconds, 24/7 from 2PM Thursday to past noon on Saturday in rapid time mode. Walmart has 8 AA cells for $1.97. Works great. The no-glow leds are powerful past 100 ft but you need a 12VDC cord, not included curiously, to power them for long recordings. Animals will never know they are shining brightly at them as this light is invisible to them. Movies of maurading coons emptying my trashcans are undisturbed in total darkness. Not sure which animals can see IR light. Ask Google.Needs: secure theft-proof enclosure IR sensors can see and transmit IR lighting through holes in strong steel, lockable enclosure.12V power cord for long duration, intensive recording.Optional high power Lithium-ion battery pack and charger.Great unit at fantastic pricing until current president blocks importing Chinese goods.

I like the features of this camera. Unfortunately, one of mine developed a water leak readily evidenced by moisture beneath the LED cover, moisture within the gasketed enclosure and a rusted screw-head (see photo). I have been denied warranty repair by the vendor who told me to keep using it as-is. Instruction manual states to return a product under warranty, please contact your dealer or our local distributor so I am just SOL. No way am I going to stick a wet memory card from this camera into my computer! Camera might be useful in a dry environment, but I would not bank on it remaining waterproof. We'll see if my second camera develops a leak too. I have a feeling that a China-man is laughing all the way to the bank.7/20/20 update: Vendor chose to honor warranty and sent a replacement camera. All is well and I am satisfied.
