The IPcam can be setup with your router's security features such as WPA2, MAC filtering, port forwarding, IP filtering which block attempts by this camera from calling China or from China calling this camera even though its made in Mexico. Dont trust the camera's IP filtering feature. Dont register with Amcrest nor use their app nor their recommended easy setup procedure unless youre ok with China watching you. During the setup/configuration process temporarily disconnect internet from router. There appears to be built-in users that cant be deleted but as long as your router is blocking unauthorized comm it shouldnt matter. Its possible this IPcam might connect on its own to another WIFI network with open access in attempts to contact China. Good thing there are no other network in my area.I have yet to test WIFI range. Wish it had external antenna. Works with android tinyCam pro, IPCAM viewer and Chrome on the pc. Has a lot better features than Foscam.

All good, night vision on point, motion moves captures any movement, and the picture quality is great.

Works great! Had a little bit of a tough time getting it assembled and installed, but we got it and we love it!The night vision and video quality is wonderful!

Difficult to set up. It would not automatically connect to my wifi so per the directions, I connected the cable to my modem. It connected pretty easily then; however since it was set up with the cable, it would not work unless I left it connected to the modem. That was a huge issue because the modem is not in the same floor as where I needed the camera. Several Youtube videos and a lot of frustration later, I finally was able to connect via wifi. Even after getting it set up, I do not find the record/ view/ playback functions user friendly. Just had to keep clicking on stuff til I found what worked.

EDIT: No surprises, works as I should have expected.I originally rated this as 5 (and still rated as a 5) because it does work fine and have no problems, but decided I should add some other info that could help others. This is my first camera and didn't realize most cameras do not come with Optical Zoom (including this one). I really need Optical Zoom for this situation (need to zoom in on the TV to see the time left on the small fast forward bar at the bottom of the screen with the MLB streaming) and so have ordered the Amcrest ProHD 1080P PTZ WiFi Camera which has 3X Optical Zoom (of course much more expensive but nothing comes for free). Will keep the other one for another use where I don't need the Zoom.

I had several of these cameras and they work well with my NAS software. I'm using the motion detection Alarm feature to trigger motion recording. Just bought another one and the new firmware has removed the Alarm function. Now it's useless to me.
