58mm Black Mist Filter 1/8 Special Effects Filter Ultra-Clear Multi-layer Coated With Waterproof Scratch-Resistant and Anti-Reflection Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.1488
No need for expensive Hollywood Blackmagic nor Tiffen filters. This is a very clean filter with zero color shifts that does the job like any other expensive diffusion filter at much lower price point.

After the first test shots, it became clear that sometimes the 1/2 lens was already too much, but sometimes it was exactly what I wanted. So, I also needed a 1/8 lens, and that's the perfect combination for me.

The filter and case is top notch. The filter itself if you look at it closely has tons of little dots/specks on it. It has the effect of softening the photo a bit, adding more contrast. I'm not sure I love keeping it on my lens, for some landscape photos it's not as ideal (unless trying for a darker, more arty one).

Prioritizing shooting over post-processing, I tried this filter with only the lighting of an electric garland and happy with the rendering, the light of the garland is diffused and softer. Looking forward to being able to use it in night video when the restrictions are lifted.

K&F contacted me to test the new Black Mist filter. It is a filter designed for videos and to give a “vintage” touch to the final result. In short: a wonderful result also for photography. It is a useful filter for portraits or for landscape reportage or storytelling. You do not lose sharpness and you get a much less “shot” light that also expands in the shadow area. It is a filter to be used in photography with high apertures and that “tells” an atmosphere. But let's start from the beginning. Packaging/handling: In addition to the plastic box, the filter is inserted in a very resistant and protective snap-on case. The filter is screw-on (rightly so because it was created for video makers and in any case up to a diameter of 82). I would have preferred a cardboard box. But the case that you can see in the photo (the round one) is very useful and sturdy. The filter appears resistant and screws well onto all the lenses to which I have mounted it. Technical review: It has no dominant details, so it leaves the colors similar to the photo taken without a filter. Excellent! It does not lose light, you do not find yourself having to increase the ISO when you mount it. Excellent! The sharpness in the details (and here comes the best part) remains almost unchanged. You do NOT lose sharpness in the areas in focus even if I would not use it for ultra-defined landscape photography, but for storytelling, outdoor or environmental portraiture absolutely yes. The automatic focus is not affected by the filter, at least not on the Nikon D750 with fixed lenses. Use / Effect: it is a filter that gives a "glow" effect to photos, very particular especially for videos and for portraits in hard light or backlight. The highlights are lowered but without becoming dull, furthermore the light "enters" the shadows, giving a very soft "glow" effect. Excellent for portraits or to give a more dreamy atmosphere, it takes away clarity from the image in the high contrast areas. In the photos you can see a couple of comparisons without filter/with filter, two photos of environmental portrait and what you get. Result in short: it is a filter that you do not think will fit in your kit, but when it does it has such a particular result that you would try it in every situation. Absolutely to try!

Get this one instead of the others marketed by SEVERAL influencers. Just get this one, it’s optically clear and does what it’s supposed to.
Works perfectly as advertised.
I normally DO NOT like putting glass in front of my very expensive lenses and body (Hasselblad), but when the client requires this look, this is the only filter I’ll reach for.

This is my initial review for the &F Concept Nano-X 67mm Black Soft Diffusion, and I will continue updating it as I'm using it.
I will try to keep this review short as people don't like long reviews, my self included.
This is a very high quality Black Soft Diffusion, you can tell, everything about it is screaming quality, from the packaging to the product unboxing experience, everything is on point and feels very premium and it got all the bells and whistles you can think off.
Looks and feels very well made and looks exactly like the pictures and the colors are true and accurate, I've been using it for the past month and it's been great and there is nothing really to complain about, I highly recommend it.

I bought this filter to remove the sharpness and the too digital look that today's cameras have. The quality of this Black Pro Mist from KeF is excellent, the result is identical to the more expensive filters from Nisi. The effect it gives is marked mainly when we frame light sources, it creates the halo of light around the main source, whether it is the sun or an artificial light. Excellent for giving a vintage and particular touch to your photos/videos

Click to play video Let's start at the beginning. What does a "blur filter" do? It gives lights a "blur effect." In other words, the lights look a bit foggy. This can create a really cool look in film productions, but it's also really useful for photos, such as portraits. For example, a string of lights in the background of the model or something similar. Autofocus works perfectly with the Sony A7 Mark 2 and the kit lens. What I find absolutely brilliant is the "packaging," or rather, the place where the filter is stored. Nothing wobbles! It's rock solid and can even be used for other filter sizes. Oh, and despite the filter, the lens hood and lens cap fit without any problems. Top-notch workmanship, as always! No plastic ;-)
