I’m using it for bird watching and other animals. It’s just what I needed when backpacking.

Not good for quick access to capture nature or action shots from far away. By the time you go get it, remove your phone case (because attaching it while the case is on is a bitch and ruins the effect), attach it and focus...the moment is gone. It's not something you would carry around with you either. Now if you have it attached, focused and ready you will get some beautiful photos.

Bought for whale watching and wow, what a train wreck. Its awkward to hold as designed with the phone. Don't trust it so we dumped the cheap cell phone clamp that was poorly designed and just used the optics as a monocular.

1. POOR PHONE CAMERA ATTACHMENT...takes LONGER THAN I EXPECTED TO GET IT LINED UP WITH CAMERA ON PHONE.2. Once it’s lined up, it does bring target object in close, however you better have supernatural steady hands or have it on a tripod, or pic will be blurry.3. When used as monocular, it’s a 5 STAR INSTRUMENT.

If it came with a tripod this would be 5 stars. I would recommend this to friends and family.

I got this to take pictures of the moon. You definitely need a tripod and bluetooth camera button. Also, zoom in on the phone to get rid of the circle pictures. Pictures are from 2 different days.

We're pretty happy with this monocular, especially for the price we paid. It was way too shaky to see anything with simply holding it, so we immediately ordered a cheap Amazon tripod. It's very easy to focus. I've had a few issues with fogging up that took a good moment to clear, but since I've had glasses for a few decades, that's just life with lenses. The phone adapter isn't always the best at staying attached, and the tightening screw stripped the plastic threads within the first day. I simply keep the adapter set at a certain width setting and slide my phone in and out when needed. This is what I have because I can't afford a $200+ camera, so I really can't complain!
