First, the review headline. That photo of the bird implies a) that the lens forms a full-sensor image, second that you can hand-hold it, and third that the contrast and clarity are spectacular. None of these “facts” are true.I hoped this would be good for my wife to take pictures of birds and other wildlife on our feeders, but there are several problems: first, the image on the phone camera is small—a circle around 1/3 the screen width. Second, it is almost impossible to focus accurately. Third, the adapter doesn’t work at all with an iPhone 6S+ unless you take it out of the case. Finally, the monocular is huge—not even good as a pocketable monocular. I wasn’t surprised that the clarity and contrast were not so good—it’s an $80 piece of gear. Also, it is not possible to handhold, which a few reviews mentioned. I really expected in full sunlight the phone camera would be fast enough that every third image would be crisp, but you clearly need a tripod. Given all this, it is cheaper and easier to leave a small camera in the living room ... especially since we already have one.

Nice convenient size with carrycase. Much lighter to carry than binocs. The view is crisp and clear for a mile or two.

I'm really satisfied with the feel and operation of this monocular. It does exactly what I need it to: it gives me the capability for in the field, on-the-spot views with the added ability to take pictures. I don't have much to add in the way of pics-- the other reviewers' aren't much different from mine-- but every part of this item worked seamlessly together. All as advertised and so far, everything is great in the field. If you know what you want, and don't want to pay top dollar, this is a great option for you.

The carrying case is a little flimsy. The belt loop broke pretty quickly, Therr is a loop on the eye cover which would lead me to think that they could have put a string on it but they didn't and it seems easy to lose The overall size and performance is pretty good and I have no complaints

Have wanted a telescope for eons but tight city living spaces and obscured viewing by other buildings made it impractical or taking it outside. Finally we had clear night skies and am pleased with this great alternative. It's lightweight to carry, pretty well made, nice size and easy to focus one-handed for moongazing (cannot comment on accessory for iPod type phone video recording - I don't have). The lens view was crispy clear and sale price perfect for my pocket. Binoculars have been troublesome in the past for me and really found this so much easier to focus. I could see the shaded craters on the moon and so it is quite sufficient for my stargazing.
