This is my first trail camera so i can't compare it to others. The manual is extremely hard to understand. It was obviously not written or reviewed by someone proficient with english sentence structure. This company should do better. How much would it cost them to do that??? I am disappointed.

Got the Coolife camera to see what roams in the unfenced part of our backyard in the night. To conserve battery life it is set up for 3 shot still photos.Mostly it sees bunnies, some raccoons, skunks, possums, armadillos and the occasional coyote at the water dish.Too bad, most of the time you have to guess what you are looking at. The center of the frameis way overexposed to 30 or more feet away, leaving only the edges with decent images.Problem is, all the LEDs sit on a flat circuit board, sending out a beam with 20 or so degree dispersal. The LEDs should be raised above the board surface and and their legs bent to widen the beam angle.Just copied data to the computer for maybe the fifth time, and the camera back won't close.Oh no, both hinges on the camouflage front part of the camera are broken, plastic pieces jamming. Each hinge consists of a part molded to the camera back flanked by parts molded to the front and a metal pin.The top part of the upper hinge and the bottom part of the lower hinge are broken.Who knows how much longer the remaining hinge parts last with increased stress on them now. With the busted top hinge the camera will probably have to be protected against rain.PS: Roadrunner in photos is made of metal, coyote and armadillo are real!Update: Finally the bottom hinge came apart and the hinge pin disappeared in the lawn. The real culprits appear to be the ridges made by the knurling on one end of the hinge pin to prevent it from rotating against one part of the hinge and over time working its way out of there. The hinges probably cracked when the pins were pressed into them at the factory, not enough material there. Will have to glue a piece of plastic on the bottom of the hinge to prevent the pin from falling out every time the camera housing is opened.

Super compact and small. It is easy to mount (comes with a mounting bracket). The camera was very easy to setup. The camera is sensitive and will sense movement at all different angles. This trail cam takes exceptionally good pictures in both day and night. They are very bright and clear. The night vision pics are impressive.

I bought two of these and one fogged up within 2 weeks. Sent back for refund. Second one is still working after about 3 months. I do not recommend buying these, or similar ones using the same base and seals.Update 11/18/20 - I was offered $20.- from the seller to remove this objective and accurate product review.

Coolife 21mp game trail camera:RETURNED for possible failed menu setting buttons after 28 days of use (might have been my incompetence). In contacting the company, and to their credit, they replaced the camera. The company answered my queries within 24 hours and were pleasant to work with. It was nice to find service after the sale.BATTERIES:Between July 20th and November 25th I've replaced the batteries twice. No judgement. I've recorded on average 2-3 photos every night and reviewed the findings on the trail cam screen every morning. Using the camera screen is more battery intensive than pulling the SD card and viewing it on a computer so I'm okay with the battery life being shorter than stated. I bought an AC POWER SUPPLY(photo) so I'd no longer need batteries. The trail cam is working like a champ on the AC supply with no batteries in the battery compartment.

I've used this camera for about a week now. I'm still tweaking the settings a bit to fit my needs, but first impressions of the unit are great. Captured some critters the first night of use along with me setting it up, so I was able to see daytime and nighttime images. It has plenty of options for dialing in resolution, audio, and video. The camera sat it the rain multiple nights with no ill effects. Turning it on at dusk and off at dawn the batteries are still showing full strength.
