We bought a couple "trail cams" similar to this to put on our back patio. Mom likes to feed the possums and raccoons but she wants to be able to see them better. We could barely get the other ones working and ended up sending them bask. When I had the opportunity to try this one, I was immediately impressed at the quality of construction, the mounting frame, and [upon opening the camera] the quality of the screen and buttons. It takes either 4 or 8 AA batteries. It comes with a 32 GB micro-SD card (the kind that goes in a phone) to record to. Definitely worth checking out if you are interested. I'm thinking it might make a nice hidden front porch cam as well to see who is nabbing my packages.

Although not a sophisticated trail camera, using it to see what prowls around one's back yard at night is interesting. The sensing appears to work well and downloading the microchip is easy. Initially the setup took a bit of time, but once understood, no problem.

Just received this product so not a lot of experience yet. Instructions were excellent and setup went smoothly. Screen is bright and clear and pic quality can be set up to 16 megapixals I believe. Nice feature is that storage card was included. Two ways to attach the camera were included: one a permanent mount with full swivel capability plus a belt type for temporary mount to tree or post or whatever. Haven't captured anything yet so am playing with sensors but the adjustments appear to have all of the features that are needed to correctly set the camera for all situations.

Have only used it once and that was at night. Photographed a raccoon, possum, and rabbit in the yard within a 10 hour period. Pictures were great when transferred to a PC . Almost didn't find the removable storage chip which was loose in the box. Camera will not operate unless chip is installed.

This is my third and final attempt at a trail camera of this nature. I charge that they are all made by the same Chinese company just sold under different brand names here as they are very similar in design and flaws.First, if you want security of ANY kind, then this is TOTALLY USELESS as this will not get off the 30-second capture interval. So, you'll capture the figure entering the field of vision up the street, but then it disappears totally out of view. 30-second gaps might be great if you just want to watch squirrels and raccoons in your spare time but if you want Security of any kind, then this is TOTALLY USELESS. I saw tons of neighbors magically appearing at their car door then poof totally gone. No, pulling in/out, driving away, etc....just gone. OR, just suddenly there!?! Bonkers!?I have a video of my mailman looking straight into the lens (it was new to him) but ZERO VIDEO of his approach or leaving. Suddenly the video was like "empty street then MAILMAN FACE then nothing". STUPID.Second, this absolutely DOES NOT take BOTH photos and videos simultaneously. Doesn't.The video is of great quality, the night vision is, as well, but DO NOT buy this for ANY kind of security surveillance. You might catch a figure from up the street but that's it unless you maybe get a picture of his backside hauling booty outta your house. Dumb

Bought this to capture some raccoons - or whatever was coming into our yard at night and stealing dog food and bird seed. We caught em! This camera was so simple to set up and use. The video that you see at the end of my review even shows the raccoon being captured in the rain. The strap mount held perfectly through the rainstorm. Very impressed with the durability and the sensitivity of the camera. Highly recommend.

I had pretty modest expectations of this camera, but so far I’m really impressed.Included in the box:Trail CameraEnglish manualUSB 2.0 cableStandard definition composite video cableMounting strapMetal mount with screws and anchorsPros:Seems incredibly toughTons of mounting options includedMemory card includedReasonable image qualityReally good manual in actual EnglishNight vision mode is clearUses 8 standard AA batteriesCan be used with 6v DC adapter for AC power (not included)Incredibly long battery life (16 months standby)Mounts on standard 1/4”-20 screwCons:Batteries not includedPAL format 1080p video (25 fps)Larger than I expectedNo HDMI outNo WiFi/Bluetooth or other way to operate it without opening itOther thoughts:If you’re going to leave it in the cold, use good batteries. The camera has a wide field of view, which means it captures a lot but you’re not going to be able to count the points on a buck 100 yards away. The picture quality is good, but not as clean or high resolution as my GoPro 7.
