It’s a cool radio.It’s doesn’t do what I wanted it to. It doesn’t pick up Digital signals but other than that it’s great.

Compact size and portability

I bought this version of this particular radio because btech upgrades a typical baofeng for better recieve and better selectivity. Unfortunatly...something was wrong internally with the connections on the antenna and would not recieve at all unless the antenna was resting a certian way while being held. I was able to transmit but not receive. I was testing this unit for 2 meter simplex contacts at 1800 ft elevation. And while the radio was getting out just great. I only knew it was working because i had my mobile unit tuned to the same frequency while i was testing the unit. Now on a positive note. On 5 watts at that elevation i did transmit over 35 miles confirmed with 3 amatuer operators. But when the radio would not receive even with the squelch completely open i knew that it was a defective radio. I do believe that you get what you pay for. I cant say i was completely dissatisfied because i was making contacts over 35 miles out on 5 watts. But i wont risk buying another unit that could be defective again. Not a bad radio at all. But buy at your own risk. Just keep in mind that amazon has a great return policy so the only real risk would be wasting time for something that may or may not work. I will say....if it works when ypu get it....you wont be dissapointed with performance. 3 stars because of overall experience.

I love this radio,using for GRMS with a license

The 3800 milliamp battery is very good. I like the high power.

Great radio all the way around. Battery life is great and features are very good. Solidly built and with the high capacity battery and the Nagoya extended antenna and programming cable, you are ready to get on the air.

Good radio small not to bulky

This is a nice hand held radio. It works great for my use. I would buy again.

Not sure how "Sheerness" pertains to two-way radio, but this Btech HT is the best handheld I own. Not withstanding the fact it looks like all my Baofeng UV-5R varients, this radio has qualities and functions they do not. It's very well designed and has quickly become my go-to radio. The audio, though not as good as a more expensive rig, is superior to any inexpensive Chinese handheld I've used. Battery life is phenomenal and with an extended aftermarket antenna the range is impressive.
