The radio is good, but the speaker volume is about 1/2 of a basic UV-5R (I have 2 of them). Maybe I got a bad one, but for double the price of a basic UV-5R, this should be better. I am outside of the return window before I noticed this, so stuck with this one.

I charge it every couple of days with normal use, it sounds as good as any other HT I've had with no rattling when you turn it up, it's loud enough for mobile use. Great size, fits in the hand very well, smallest HT I've ever had. It really gives the Yaesu VX-6R a run for the money!

Remote mic and earpiece performed perfectly to allow stealthiness while using. Radio is very clear and powerful in signal strength.

After deliberating for a short while, I purchased the BTECH UV5x3 and I'm glad I did. I am highly pleased with the quality and performance of this HT. It feels solid and it is, reception and overall sound quality is excellent and it's very easy to program and operate. This is my second Baofeng/BTECH unit and so far, I am quite satisfied. These HT'S may be inexpensive; but from my own personal experience, they are NOT cheap. My other unit is a Baofeng UV-82HP and it too, has met and surpassed my expectations. Would definitely purchase again!

The antenna that come with the radio don't work that well I had to buy an abree 28-in antenna to get better reception.

I bought this on a friend's recommendation to replace my old, mostly unused Wouxon which I couldn't program with Chirp for some reason. Have had this for about a month and am very happy with it. Chirp works great on it, it's easy to do simple frequency changes and the Frequency mode/Memory mode switch is super useful and easy. The menuing system is rather complicated to get used to, but I've had the manual handy during the learning curve. Am still learning new things about it, but I'm happy with it for the price.

Love these radios for what you get for the cost. They work great and with different antenna get great reach.
