Everything functions well on the radio. The battery life is great and the reception is about what you'd expect and really pretty good--a few days on the 1W setting and assuming you're not doing that much talking.I use it when I go fishing and really like having the 220 band to be able to have a bit less congestion on the frequency to talk with fishing buddies on.Overall very happy with the purchase, however when looking around for other models, there may be cheaper prices than here.

Very hard to program and the instruction manual was no help. Must use their website.

A great deal for the money. I found several instructional YouTube videos for it online. Requires a separate cable for programming of the channels via an external computer. Also requires a "Technician" class license to legally transmit on in the United States.

The extra wattage combined with an aftermarket antenna really reaches out. The dislike is the same one I have with all Baofengs and that is the factory antenna, it’s not that great.

Awesome radio but I strongly suggest getting the USB wire to go with it.you can do almost all the same functions without the wire but it will take you hours. I gave 4 stars because they should just include the USB cord.
