Like to know how anyone actually obtains "PRODUCT SUPPORT?"Many issues came up with my 4 Baofeng radio purchases. Amazon could not help and they also could not provide any useful contact info from Baofeng...

The BaoFeng BF-F8HP is perfect in design and features. It is small enough to take anywhere and built strong enough to withstand accidental drops, rough handling and it's easy to use. I just had to give this Amazon protect a five-star rating because it brought me much joy to use. I'm a 100% disabled Marine veteran from the Vietnam War. This radio gives me lots of joy and something interesting to do. Unfortunately, while waiting for a VA medical Van to take me to the medical center, someone came by and stole it from my scooter as I stepped into the house for a few seconds. This is one of the best radios that has ever come out. I don't make much money, but I will have to save and wait until I have enough to buy another.

Too high of a learning curve for a newbie. I spent hours trying tooi figure it out. Even watched videos. I just gave up and returned it.

Hello, please let me introduce myself. My name is Raymond A Ramirez, I'm 72 years of age. I joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1965 at the age of seventeen. After serving two tours in Vietnam I came home to California and couldn't buy a six-pack of beer because I wasn't twenty-one. I was wearing my uniform and medals and I was turned away from purchasing the beer. I was devastated. I'm a 100% disabled veteran with a mobility problem. The VA Medical Center, Long Beach provided me with a motorized scooter. On February 24, 2020, I was ready to be picked up by a VA Van with a lift to take me to my medical appointment. I had my BaoFeng BF-F8HP on the handle of my scooter. I came inside the house for a second and as I was going back out someone came by in a bicycle and stole my BaoFeng BF-F8HP which devastated me. He took away my passion, my relaxation, the thing I love to do. I don't have a lot of money, every dollar is important to us. I saw your video on the BaoFeng BF-F8HP and found it to be an excellent description of the BaoFen radio. I'm also submitting this with hopes of winning a radio. If I do win, please send it to Raymond A Ramirez 8952 McClure Ave. Westminster CA. 92693

One bad key on keypad. Returned for exchange. Radio seemed to work fine otherwise. Replacement has arrived. No sticky keys yet. All appears good. Will update if anything changes. Amazon is great. Now for the positive, this little radio is amazing. If you are in range of a repeater then your actual range is almost unlimited. I've talked to folks in TX, OK, LA and AR. This is my second Baofeng handheld. First one is two years old and still working well. I strongly recommend Ham radio as a hobby and an emergency method of communication when and/or if all else fails. As someone who first built a HeathKit radio back in 1957 I can tell you Ham has never been more affordable than now. If you have been considering one of these radios you should go ahead and jump in. You won't regret the purchase. You will need an easy to get license to transmit, but it is worth the effort. There is plenty of online help available including sample test questions. No Morris code needed to get your license. Check out YouTube for reviews of the Baofeng BF-F8HP. Also see Youtube for help with your license test.

It was easy to use once I went to you tube and found out how to get it to the correct channels so I could use it.

This is my first radio, but I’ve seen others and also bought a UV-5R, which shares the same case. It works great, and the contacts I’ve made so far, say that I come in loud and clear. I live almost 3 miles from the closest repeater, and I can RX and TX to it just fine from inside my basement apartment. However, I did upgrade the antenna to the Nagoya NA-771 For home use as well as a ExpertPower XP-669C for portable use. The included V85 high gain antenna works really well too, but I feel the XP gets better results. Programming is easy with the BTECH programming cable (sold separately) and the Chirp software. BaoFeng makes their own software, but I haven’t used it. It’s not the most intuitive radio, but once you get used to the menu options and where everything is, it’s really easy to use. Definitely recommended as a beginner radio for HAMs and GMRS/FRS users as well if you feel like bending the rules a bit. Get your license and just don’t brag about your TX power.
