I have several BaoFeng radios, and wanted a tri-band so I purchased this one. Nice little radio. Like the others in the UV-5 series, this radio programs easily with Chirp (look under BTECH for the settings in Chirp); and the programming cable is the same as I had for the UV-5R radio. Good sound quality; hits the local repeaters well, even with the antenna provided. I am very pleased with the purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this radio.

This radio is the best, in my opinion, in the Baofeng line. It is a dependable, solid performer. I use mine with the extended battery and a Btech speaker mike.

Great manual, allows you to program frequencies, repeaters quickly ! Had an issue with battery charger and it was quickly replaced.

Programmed via chirp and added gmrs and frc to be able to use around my property, also added ham study flexible antennas to each of them. Now to study for my general.

It seams to be working but I have yet to hear anything It might be my locationThe CD does not work with windows 10. The receiver sensitivity seem very poor. I can’t pickup the weather channel 10 miles outside of Atlanta Ga.
