Very fond of Chirp for programming, as the interface is not otherwise intuitive.

I use this at work while performing maintenance on aircraft. Being able to tune in specific frequencies is awesome. I'm very impressed with the quality and price.

Lost my Yaesu VR8 during a hunting trip. With this occasion, I realized that a simpler VHF/UHF radio will do. Basic features combined with the price point made me decide on this radio. GET THE PROGRAMMING CABLE and programming will be a breeze. Thus far, I am not disappointed.73's
