Used this hand held to broadcast to a 50 watt mobile through the woods up to 6miles of hilly landscape. Very impressed.

This is a very good tri-band radio. Good features and quality for the price. I used Chirp software with a genuine USB transfer cable to set up the radio and it worked great. I added a high gain tri-band antenna and have gotten excellent ranges even without a repeater.

Bought as a backup radio. No issues. Also wanted the third band as None of my current radios have it. Because it is a backup radio I also bought an extended life battery to go with this as it will have a lot of non use unless a problem comes up with my other radios.

Gets me on 220 for cheap money. Does everything the UV5R does but with added 1.25m band.

Best "baofeng" yet. The "sync" display freq & ch name actually works (unlike some others I tried that advertised the capability). The SC-Add option (menu 33, add or remove channels from the scan) actually works, unlike others claiming that also. Chirp works flawlessly with this. Has the 220 frequency band option. Very loud, works great. Ordered another! I use as "spares" or backup HT's in case I forget to bring my FT3DR.

Feels lighter than my other uv radios, but better menus and less noisy radio transmitter than other btech/baofeng I have used.

So far, this radio is great. I down loaded the CHIRP software and it was super easy to program the radio. I've created a couple of different profiles so far and I'm experimenting with different frequencies.For the price, you really can't beat it. I haven't had to reach out to BTECH, but they've reached out to me to make sure everything was OK. From what I've experienced, and what I've read in reviews, these folks really care about takiing care of the customer.
