Go to Radio, considering not too many in the US have 220. Good to carry if you're not worried about dropping, or breakage, compared to more expensive handhelds. Definitely designed to be disposable. Programming is easy using chirp. Surprisingly, the 1.25 antenna works better than the 2m/70cm one.

Very well-built, good performing tri-bander with all accessories. Seems to be easier to program than earlier Baofeng's. So far I'm very pleased.

For the price this a great little radio for the beginner. The user interface is simple and the display is easy to read.

I do not have a ham radio license. I got this radio just to monitor the radio traffic. I have various vintage am radios and various shortwave radios. So this radio fits my needs perfectly. Maybe in the future I might get a license to transmit.

the cost can't be beat for a tri band. Keep in mind HT's need repeaters in the cities!

Great product! Sound and quality feel could be better but then the price would be higher of course. Probably the best option for those new to the hobby, or for those that need a backup and don't want to spend a lot of money on a second unit.
