Everything as described. The radio works just fine and it's easy to use.

It is inexpensive but works. The display is kind of hard to read. Chirp software makes it easier to program. A good starter transceiver for new hams. Can't beat the price.

Great quality overall.BTech has certainly provided excellence in every product they ship, and the UV-5X3 is no exception. The tri-band feature allows for me to tune into my mates on channels I couldn't access on other handhelds, and the radio's features make talking with them an ease.

Feels pretty solid for the price. I enjoy the FM and light. Battery life so far seems great for me.Whenever I plugin to the Mic jack to program or my speaker mic I am worried something will break as it's a very hard snap when it's in place. The front end is much better than my friends UV-5R, but I still get some squelch break in high noise RF (Yeasu radio doesn't), but I knew this when I bought it and for the price you can't really beat it!If the factory shipped the modified squelch settings as listed by Jim KC6HI and Tom KD4WOV I might have given it a 5 since it really is better than I expected for a cheap HAM radio.

This radio is compact making it very portable. The buttons are rather small because of its size. It could use memory banks to change channels a lot simpler. Scanning appears rather slow. Alpha numeric could be improved by allowing at least 2 extra characters. Easy to program with free downloadable chirp software. A rubber duck antenna featuring tri band that comes with the radio would be optimal. Providing a package deal with larger battery, tri band rubber duck antenna, programming cable, and external microphone would be spectacular. 5 watts power is sufficient but more power would be more desirable.

I've been using the radio for some time now. I find it easy to use and with the programming cable, easy to program using CHIRP. I get good signal reports as well.

This radio is a very good buy at the price. It is far from perfect mostly with how they have implemented the features and programming. Its not easy and somewhat obtuse but once they are programmed all is OK. It has other limitations but again when you consider the price is a good deal.

Sound quality is a little less than the Baofeng bf-f9 v2+’s I have. The new scan ch face program feature makes this my new favorite radio !!!

Good option to get on 220. I don't like the position of the zero button. Unit comes with 2 antennas, 220 & dual band. I bought a separate triband.

Probably the cheapest way to get on 220MHZ. BTech is doing a great job with all their models. No, they aren't the quality of radios of 10 times or more cost but are very close. Go BTech!
