First it was a very quick delivery. the BF-8HP is perfect for the beginner Ham operator. I think after I learn all about this radio it will be perfect for our road trips! thank you Baofeng!

This Radio is a backup purchase. It has greater battery life than my other radio, based on manufacturers info, I have not used it yet and so cannot rate performance.

Have received used radios for new price i know this cause when programing radio the ear piece connection was faulty and the radio all ready had frequencies program into it .Also want it to be said that this is a great radio when purchased as new and not a nock off . Would like to make it be know to everyone that trys to program these they must be in frequency mode when using chirp

Great little radio, works excellent on FRS and GMRS frequencies from 30 miles away can talk anywhere in state, Ham bands you would need an external antenna on vehicle or house just as a hand held doesn’t have enough juice to reach repeaters although reaches GMRS repeaters great.

Awesome radios, my 80 year old Aunt and Mother live 1/10 of a mile away from me and are able to get ahold of me in seconds. Easy to change channel to get clear signal. Well worth monies spent.

Research was right, even without an amplifier I can reach out pretty far with this as is. Scan feature is great, so many good things. For the price, and mobility this will serve you the best.
