I checked everything before purchasing 3 sets of 6. I wanted to make sure these would work with my older model with all the same Numbers : IS09001 UHF BF 888S. My older model says UHF FM. The 18 I just purchased says UHF FM as well but the new radios I just purchased won't talk to my older FM UHF BF 888S radios. The box on the newer radios says VHF/UHF and that's where the problem is I think. No where on the Radio itself does it say VHF. All radios were on the same channel and I can find no switch on the new radio to broadcast in UHF.

For the money, there really isn't anything better. A couple of the headsets that came with the radios don't work so only 3 stars. Although the radios work out of the box, they are on ham radio frequencies and would be illegal to use without an amateur radio operators license.

They all stop working within 6 mos. Warranty department was not so helpful. They suggested replacement batteries at almost the same cost for a new set. Don't waste your money!

Batteries stop charging in about 6 months, knobs and antennas fall off. Poor quality sound and product.

This product was working good for a month. Then the earpiece wouldn't work. Now 3 of the six I bought dont work at all.
