This mic was for our osmo pocket but works fantastic with a cell phone too. It has incredible sound quality for the price. At a close enough distance (maybe 5 ft) sounds pretty similar to our more expensive Røde video mic pro. Definitely worth the buy whether for dslr, phone, or other video recording device.

Great Mic!

Honestly a great Mic! The sound quality you get for the price of this mic is well worth it! It’s easy to use, and there are many free apps and software that help you record and edit.The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because the clips are cheap, brittle, and break easily.

I watched a few reviews on this mic and the rode one. I figured out the movo would work better for my filming needs. As soon as it arrived I put it to use with filming my newest YouTube video. The sound quality surprised me with how nice and crisp it was. It can be a hot mic and pick up background noise but it’s not bad. I like it more so than my other shotgun mic. I highly recommend this one for sound quality and the fact you don’t have to turn it on.

I was hoping the background noise would cancel better but I’m otherwise happy if the operation. Voice sound is great.

I used this setup to send video from a funeral family could not attend due to covid. The phone bracket worked easily and was steady. The tripod allowed for all necessary adjustments. The wind canceling Mike cover was effective in 6 knot winds. The sound quality. Even from distance was quite sufficient. So family in Maine, Texas and Maryland were there at the service by zoom. Thanks for a fine product.

I recently started a YouTube channel, Hardware 570 check it out! : ), and I have been experimenting with a bunch of different mics. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on build quality is because the shock mounts that come with it (you get 2) are kind of flimsy but that’s the only thing I can find to fault it on. I started with a cheapo PoP lav mic and that worked pretty well, but sounded a bit hollow/tinny. Then I bought the Neewer NW-700 condenser mic kit. It sounds just okay, and that’s only if you’re within 2-3 inches of the mic. For how “animated” of a talker I am it’s hard to constantly stay within that small range of the mic.Now this little guy is PERFECT. The audio quality is absolutely fantastic, running it through the media mod on my Hero 8 Black. I did some testing with it doing just vocal stuff, as well a cranked up stereo with a big woofer, and it captures the entire range right down to the thumping bass beautifully. The highs and mids are crisp and clear and the low bass tones are rich and deep.The volume level is fantastic as well. Just to give you an idea, I had to take the decibel boost off on the Media Mod because with it the signal was just too hot.If you’re getting into blogging or podcasts, or anything that requires respectable audio, this is an awesome product. It’s well built, comes with everything you’ll need to use it, and the audio quality is just amazing.
