I think it does a great job, the sound is clear, good range, and the dead cat works great.

I use this microphone with my iPhone 8 and tripod to live stream (via StreamYard). It works great inside as well as outside with the deadcat windshield. It also works with my Laptop as well!

Sound quality is significantly better than the iPhone microphone. Great for vlogging,podcasting and comes with a windscreen

Works great BUT, YOU NEED A TRRS STYLE CABLE IF YOUR USING GOOGLE PIXEL PHONE! That's the 3.5mm jack with 3 lines on one end and 2 lines on the other. I had to buy that seperatley to make it work with my pixel 3xl and pixel 5.

I just recorded a video of myself performing a monologue at a reasonable distance speaking softly and this microphone recorded each word flamelessly. It definitely serves my purposes.
