Microphone works well enough but the shock mounts are cheap plastic and both broke. Not adjustable at all... broke on first mount of the microphone. Needs a much better mounting bracket to be useful.

This mic is great as long as you keep it relatively close to you. For my setup that’s a bit of a pain considering my laptop isn’t that close. I also had to by a headphone and mic splitter because on my laptop and iPhone it was recognized as an output audio device. So I could record something but as long as the mic is plugged in you cannot hear it, however it does use the mic for audio, so when you unplug the mic you hear the quality of the mic from the recording if that makes sense. Once I bought the splitter it worked fine but like I said it needs to be pretty close to you for the audio to be good, and the cord isn’t very long at all.

We tried this mic and it was slightly better than the iPhone 11 mic. My only gripe is the shock mount can't withstand any shock. It fell off the hook and red plastic on the shock mount broke rendering it useless. Trying now to find another shock mount.

I may revisit this review after using it for awhile, but right out of the box, the shock mount broke in two, just from trying to put the mic in it. Good thing there's a second one, and I assume that's why.

It did not work. I returned it. They did not acknowledge the return and are charging my account again. STAY AWAY!!!!!

The microphone seems to be built pretty well with solid feeling materials. The packaging and accessories included are nice and it does function. However, the sound quality is barely distinguishable from the internal Mic on my iPhone. For a shotgun mic this seems to have just as wide of a pickup area as the built in mic, so it doesn't seem to block out other noises to the sides like it should. I don't know if I will use this much except for windy situations because you can't really put a wind sock on the internal mic. Other than that, this mic seems mostly for show.

The microphone worked, but the plastic clip or the shock mount as it is called broke.The plastic is brittle and when the microphone is pushed onto the clip once or twice, it breaks.

Following the instructions on how to mount the mic to the shock mount causes a hairline fracture in the plastic holder, right where the mic sits. After one try. That's poor quality, not user error.The mic works, the cables are fine, but that mount...This mic + kludgy mount is about $20 cheaper than the next combo, so i will look at a different mount.In general, any of these mounts, once connected to the hot shoe, are very wobbly, and will transmit clunking noise when moving the camera / phone around.Again, mic is ok, but quality of mount stinks.
