The light itself is exactly as you'd expect of these modern LED lights. It's powerful, variable and offers a lot of adjustment, but that's harder to do on the light itself. The app makes it easy and you can set two presets so you can switch easily from one type of lighting to the other.Even at low power it gives off a nice amount of light and it's ideal as fill if you're doing video/vlogging. At brightest it's probably just about ok for a main light, but the size does make it a little harsh. If you diffuse it to soften it then it may not be quite enough as main.But used as a fill/accent light it's great and for this particular light the little tripod adapter thing feels a lot more solid than some I've had. It's still plastic, but it doesn't feel like it will drop to bits in 2 minutes.It has Back Side Magnet Adsorption Design, adsorb on most metals surface, set up the scene easily. Mini pocket size, lightweight, portable photography light, making your video creation easier. As a rgb led light, it is ideal for selfie, vlog, still-life, party atmosphere lights, portrait, children's photography and youtube video.The scene modes always sound like fun, but I've yet to find a real use for them. If I were making a short film and needed the look of police lights they might come in handy, but for most people I think you'd play with the scenes a few times then never use them again.The different color temperatures available, including the RGB modes, are useful if you want to give a particular look (cold/warm) to a background. That can lift a shot or video and make it look much more pro.So although I don't think this light is perfect, it is very good. I would prefer to be able to set all the various modes really easily directly on the light rather than using the app, but who doesn't have their phone with them all the time these days? Probably not a big inconvenience.

Ulanzi makes great products in general and this little light is another one. Keep in mind this is a very small little light which means you aren't going to get a ton of light output. What this light is perfect for is as a small accent light in things like video production.It was great to see that they did put an LED screen on this budget light so you can accurately dial in the proper color or color temperature that you may need. It has a magnetic back which provides all kind of interesting possibilities for mounting. You also have cold shoe mounts so you could actually connect a bunch of these lights together. The battery is large enough to power this light at max brightness for around 2 hours. USB C port charges this light at about that same 2 hour mark.All in all a great little budget RGB light that is priced just about right for a light this size.

I was able to hook this light into my camera as there is a slot on top that allows me to use different lights for taking pictures. With this light, I was able to fit it inside of that slot and it actually locked into place. The light itself is really easy to use, especially the fact that it's fully rechargeable. Using this light doesn't require much reading up on but I did double check the instructions for it. When using it, just flip the switch on the right side to on and from there you're able to switch the different lights. Once you do choose the light color you're looking for, you can change the dimming setting on it to either be as bright as it can go, dim it to a low haze or just off. This little light produces similar light to some expensive lights that I've purchased over the years for my camera. If you don't want to or can't clip this to your camera, it can be held and is fairly light. The light does fit inside the palm of your hand and not bulky at all. Light weight and can fit inside a pocket if you want but fits inside of my carrying case without taking up much space. Great light for really any type of pictures or even videos.

i use this light to light up the subject from side angles. it has a powerful output for the colors. i also enjoy how small it is, so I can easily travel and quickly pull it out to use. i can even mount it to my camera on top for the straight look

It’s compact and love the magnet. The light is bright and the colors add warmth to your pictures. I do think that size matters, but with this mighty compact light it does not.

This is a great value, it has such a wide range and adjustability. It attaches so easily, and is also a great off camera light (as seen in photo), love that it is magnetic as well. Highly recommend for getting a feel for lighting, and for travel.

I already own several large continuous LED lighting panels for video and photography lighting. My panels are large 12-15 inch panels that can be powered by large Sony NP- batteries or wall plug. These cost over $200 each.I wanted to setup a small product ( like watches, cookies, jewelry, etc) recording or photography bug out bag with all the equipment but in a smaller and lighter version.This light is one of the components in my ulanzi phone-graphy setup.Here are highlights that I appreciate and some tips or details o learned from using this light that are not mentioned in the product listing.- button is indented and slides on and off. This is important function since it has been designed for intentional powering and avoids accidental powering on and battery drain while in the bag.- plenty of connections to add on more items. With cold shoe mounts on top and the side I can connect other lights or additional mounts or a small mic if these accessories all have cold shoe feet.- can be powered with type c cable. I ran the battery down and thought i was dead in the water but I can use the light while it is charging. That is something you do not take for granted with internal battery powered devices.-easy to read blue lcd display and function arrow buttons placed for intuitive use. Usability and planning forethought went into placing these buttons. I was able to maneuver and change settings without reading manual. I got used to the icons indentations and can adjust quickly without looking at the back of the light and keeping my eyes on the subject matter to determine the correct brightness amd color or white temp.
