With everything going on we are upgrading some of our home studio equipment. We used to use the old gel style lights where you had to set them up with a CFL bulb and then slip the gels over the light. They would end up getting really hot and were a pain to change. You always had to wait till they cooled down before you could swap them over. These new LED lights fix all those issues. These really are a huge difference in light quality and easy of use. The colored lenses simply just slip over the light and you are on your way. It's a lot easier then using the old gel lenses with clips. This is just the light head so it's great if you want to replace an old light on a stand already. They simply go on and lock in place. The LED chipset is really nice. You can adjust the brightness instantly. I love how it has a built in fan which keeps the unit cool. No more having to worry about a broken bulb or waiting for the bulbs to cool down. They even include a softbox hood so this light can be used in different ways. Saves time and money which is a win win for me. If you are looking to upgrade your light set you can't really go wrong with this light. Just make sure you have your own stand since this is just for the light only which makes it great for upgrades.
