To be surprised at the quality of these little binoculars might seem a backhanded compliment, but when binoculars can cost $100+, one expects such modestly priced equipment to be a compromise. I’m not claiming that these are as good as high priced ones, but they are nice and solid and the optics seem good and they are perfectly adequate for any use I am likely to put them. They have the added advantage that they are small enough to pop into a pocket or traveling bag, so that you have them when you want them without having been encumbered. And, with the modest price one can even indulge the extravagance of owning more than one pair (one at home and one in your car, for example) so as to always have a pair close at hand.

I bought this binocular for my 6 yo son. I like on how compact, lightweight but sturdy it is. My son really like it and use it a lot.

I bought these to give as Christmas gifts. Luckily I kept one for myself! Don't let the lightweight design fool you, these are very well made, quality, binoculars. I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent optical quality of the lenses. Great magnification and ample field of view. Perfect for hikers, bird watching, or just snooping on neighbors! :) For a compact binocular at this, or even higher, price, they cannot be surpassed!
