really like this tripod, will see how durable it is here in Finland in the coming months. The horizontal function is also amazing for the price. Should have included a phone holder to complete the set, I just bought a third party brand and it fits. The duffel bag is fine for travel too, but I want to attach the tripod to my bag so there are fewer bags to carry. Anyway, this is a quality product and I like and recommend it.

These are my first thoughts after unboxing my new tripod: There are many YouTube videos showing the unboxing of this tripod and there seem to be a few reviews with concerns about the packaging. Do not worry. The device is adequately packaged to be shipped undamaged. Items do not need to be packaged as if they were artifacts from a geological dig site. Also, Amazon is amazing when it comes to these issues. Just make sure you file claims within the correct time limits. Next, the tripod might only weigh about 3.2 pounds, but it feels a lot heavier. This may be due to the strong carrying case that is included. It's well made from heavy denier nylon canvas, so it weighs a ton alone and will likely last until the next Ice Age. But the weight is the main reason I bought this tripod. I need something light to handle the walks with my gear. I think I missed that mark with this purchase. This is not a hit to the tripod. I think I'll settle for the weight factor because this device is so well made. I also fear that a lighter tripod will be more unstable. But for those looking for a lightweight solution, consider the compromise and be aware that this isn't the lightest tripod out there. Anyone looking for a sturdy tripod at a reasonable price should stop hesitating. Now for the build quality. I am impressed. I honestly thought this would be like so many other products today. Cheaply made and just enough to last the warranty period. I am pleasantly surprised and find that the tripod is made of quality materials and is well made. I honestly feel like this product will last a long time if not abused. To be honest it seems as well made as any $300 tripod. I say this because during my research, several YouTube videos suggested that you should pay at least that much for a quality tripod. Well I agree with you from what I've seen, you get what you pay for, there are some anomalies in life and this is one of those occasions. I won't name names but from what I've seen this tripod is definitely as good as the other guys. The legs are stiff. That is a good thing. Not too stiff but it takes some effort to loosen and get them in place. I personally like that. Maybe they will loosen up with use. I hope not and time will tell. But I like the stiffness in them now because, for one, I don't feel like I'm going to move my legs so fast that I smash my fingers. I've had this experience and it's not fun! I feel a sense of security in the rigidity of the adjustments. You'll have to make the adjustments to see what I mean. One nuance immediately catches my eye. Leave the adjustment knobs on the ball head and tilt head slightly loose. This allows the head to move out of the way when closing the legs. Otherwise I fear damage. Of course, if you fit them tightly, the legs will not close completely. You also run the risk of damaging the head with friction by forcing the head to move when locked. Then later complain that it wanders when you tighten it. I can't say how durable the tripod will be, but I'm confident it will outlast me. With the right care, of course. Time will tell and I'll be back with additional thoughts after some use. But my first thoughts on this tripod are very positive. I'd say get it if you ride the fence.

I've recently started trying my hand at photography and am currently putting together my equipment. For my trip next year I have already bought a small travel tripod, which will hopefully do its job. I bought this tripod for photography where I don't plan any long hikes and also simply for photo sessions in the area. I have to admit that I don't really want to emphasize the addition of a travel tripod, but it's a bit big and heavy. However, it is highly recommended for a not too long excursion on foot or generally by car. Just wouldn't take it on the plane or on mountain trips. The tripod comes with a carrying case that it fits comfortably in, not crunchy but not too big either. Setup: Setup is very easy and quick. With my travel tripod I have clamps to adjust the height and I have to admit that I like the screwing much better and that it is also easier to do by hand. It's incredibly highly adjustable for its compact size, and it's also very versatile. As you can see in the pictures, thanks to the remote shutter release, it is also suitable for photos that are taken close to the ground. With the extension arm I was then able to get even closer to the object. I find the small hook, which is attached centrally, to be relatively smart, so that the tripod can be weighed down and made even more stable if it is windy or the lens is a bit larger... thought of :) The extension arm is via a ball system attached, so you can either extend the arm and set the tripod even higher or, as I used it, deflect it in one direction from the central axis. The tripod head gets a star deduction from me in the mom's booklet, because I find that the panorama rotation is not smooth enough. (moaning at a high level) The angle can be changed evenly, but it could be a tick easier. I really like the ball head. The attachment is easy to loosen but very strong and makes an unbreakable impression. A dragonfly is installed for alignment and of course a quick-release plate for the camera. I can't say anything about the option for the monopod because I don't use it, but apparently it is necessary to use an adapter rod that comes with it... don't know if I would always think of it that way... Yes, bottom line, super versatile usable and apparently indestructible, but only partially suitable for travel in my opinion. For the price and the maximum height of about 2m I would estimate. Absolutely great :)

The tripod seems very stable so far and is made of high-quality materials. The minimum height is a bit too high for me if you move your arm sideways (horizontally). A little heavy but definitely lighter - great value for money

Since my old one broke, a new one had to be found, this time it could also be a little higher quality. What's really cool about this tripod is that you can turn it into a monopod. The easy-to-convert tripod head is also great. I don't know if I need all of that, but it's good to have it. The tripod stands firmly and does not wobble. So far I haven't found any flaws. In terms of price, you get 2 Amazon Basics tripods for the money (I also own one), but this tripod can be adjusted much better and is twice as resilient with 10 kg. For use: I will probably only use it at home or for shoots where I have the time. The complete disassembly / conversion takes some time. Maybe I'm just missing the routine here and in some places I'll grease it up a bit. Even with a net weight of 2 kilos, it's not exactly the best tripod for hiking, so I'll use the monopod function then. But as I said, highly recommended for studio photography.

recently ordered the tripod to replace my broken Manfrotto tripod. I have to say the tripod is of high quality and has a super basic weight, which ensures a stable stand. In addition, you can attach a bag with additional weights to weigh down the tripod further. The ball head can be unscrewed and rotated 360 degrees, the surrounding scale helps with the optimal swivel installation. What I particularly like is the center column, which can not only be extended in height, but can also be folded down horizontally. This is particularly advantageous for product photos and videos that have to be filmed from above. One of the three legs can be removed with the upper twist lock so that it can also be used as a monopod. The ball head can be attached with the enclosed threaded screw. The tripod legs can be safely extended and locked using the twist locks. In addition, the tripod legs can be folded up by 180 degrees so that the tripod can be stowed away in the enclosed bag to save space. Incidentally, the enclosed bag is also of very high quality and includes a shoulder strap that can be attached as an option. This feature also allows you to use the camera overhead, which is particularly useful for flat ground shots. All in all a top product that I would buy again at any time and is suitable for ambitious amateur filmmakers and photographers as well as professionals.

Delivery extremely fast, item processed very high quality. And above all extremely versatile. I myself can not confirm some negative points of other reviews. There is no grinding noise when my tripod legs are extended. Everything works quite silently and smoothly. The center column is also rock solid, no matter in which position. Very versatile piece. The enclosed bag is padded and also makes a high-quality impression. The weight of the tripod's is not the lightest. But I think if there is strong wind outdoors, that can only be an advantage. And a half to a kilo difference to carbon or lighter parts shouldn't matter. So all in all very recommendable. And I would order this tripod again at any time.

saw the K&F Concept T254A4 and wanted it. I didn't know why until then, but the desire was there! Why? The swiveling center bridge just smiled at me and I could already imagine a lot of cool shoots that you could do with it and I wanted to try that. Summary for those who don't want to read everything: Processing - very good and solid. Functions - very extensive and can be used for many purposes (product photography, shootings at eye level, ground-level shots, etc.). Value for money - Totally justified and in my opinion it can compete with the big brands. Now comes the somewhat more detailed report divided into individual points. 1. Functionality, size, weight: The tripod clearly shines with its variety of uses. As a tripod or monopod. As a normal 1.86 m tripod (with ball head and double extended center bar) or with an extension arm for more difficult positions (e.g. macro shots). The maximum height surprised me a bit positively, since the description only mentions 1.69 m. I suspect that the second center column, which is responsible for swiveling, or the ball head are not taken into account in the measurement. In any case, it's a pretty impressive amount. This diversity is also reflected in the weight. Mine weighed a whopping 1.98kg. My old BC-Master TA333 weighed just 1.4 kg. But quality and variety has its price. For this reason I see it more as a tripod for shootings than for travel. 2. Pivoting center column The pivoting of the center column by 90° is really ingenious. Especially if you want to take photos from above from time to time. This makes it much easier to get to the position you want without having the annoying tripod legs in the picture. Perfect!! But please make sure that your legs are extended far enough so that your camera does not tip over due to its weight. 3. Ball head: The ball head with panorama function looks very large and solid. The ball joint runs very comfortably and is firmly in place as soon as you tighten it. My camera didn't move an inch (although it was almost upside down). I have never used the panorama function before, but it is much more dampened, which allows smooth movement. I didn't notice any jerking. 4. Quick-release plate: The supplied quick-release plate has two pins that secure it against falling out to the side. But other records also fit on it, such as my “Mengs QR 60”. The quick-release fastener on the tripod is made of metal - thank God. This was not the case with my old BC-Master tripod, which always gave me a bit of a headache. A big plus for that! 5. Tripod legs The tripod legs are equipped with screw caps, which means that it cannot be extended as quickly as with folding caps, but it is much more stable. Anyone who has ever seen the snap locks on a "cheap" tripod knows what I'm talking about. But with the legs I have a little criticism. The detents on the articulated joints of the three tripod legs (red metal levers) seem a bit "loose" to me when they are operated, as they are held in position by a spring mechanism. I'm concerned that they might break at some point. But once they're hooked in, they're tight and won't wobble. Then it's okay again. Conclusion: I am super happy with my new tripod. It does its job perfectly and I'm sure I'll have something of it for a long time to come. I bought and paid for the K&F Concept T254A4 as usual via Amazon, but I get the money refunded as a product tester. As always, my opinion remains independent and honest. John from Photoscrubs

The tripod (K&F Concept T254A4) leaves nothing to be desired. Advantages: + Very compact with only 50 cm + Very high load capacity with 10 kg + Very flexible, there is no point within reach of the tripod where the camera cannot be attached + Conversion to monopod + Really quick conversion of the center column + Arca Swiss tripod plates fit + Much higher than specified Disadvantages: - Ball head and other moving parts are greased (unsuitable for sandstorms) - Grub screw for monopod must always be carried separately I have now tested the tripod extensively and can say in advance: For this price, the tripod has the 5 stars earned. It comes with a padded bag with reflective strips and carrying strap. But with the bag and accessories, we weigh 2.4 kilos. The legs can be adjusted and extended individually at any angle and can also be rotated overhead. The ball head (unfortunately greased) runs very smoothly and makes a stable impression. All tightening screws grip tightly and could be tightened considerably further after they have been tightened. The tripod can be extended much higher than specified. If both center columns are extended, then I get to about 190 cm! There is a hook under the tripod for attaching weights, and a small bag is also included in the scope of delivery. This has to be removed first if you want to convert the tripod into a monopod, which is easily possible with an enclosed grub screw and nut and is really uncomplicated. As can be seen in the photos, the center column can also be mounted the other way around for deep shots. Thus, a working height of 5cm-195cm is possible. Conclusion: The tripod does what it should and even more. It is stable and extremely flexible to use. Despite the relatively small pack size, with which it fits perfectly into my backpack, you can extend it up to 190 cm. Excellent!

Processing is top! Stability is also great if you have aligned your legs! Weight is more than ok even for a longer walk! What can I tell you about that, it doesn't wobble, it also holds larger systems (4 kg tested) and you can use it to take photos or record your videos from any position. The locks on the legs take a little getting used to, but they do what they are supposed to do and reliably. The ball head is also robust and, thanks to the quick-release plate supplied, holds your equipment without having to worry that something will fall off. I am more than happy. Usual quality from K&F Concept. I like to buy from this manufacturer.
