Out of the box it's ready to go. The manual was pretty well written compared to other Chinese manuals. This drone is not for begginers and don't use it around structures or trees, most likely the motors won't start because you don't have a clear shot from satellites, I thought it was defective because they wouldn't start.. I stood up on my sitting wall in the yard and the motors turned on. Realized on take off I needed more space and landed it quickly. You must register the drone with the FAA. They require you to have line of sight when you fly as well as other restrictions. By fall 2023 your drones will have to have remote ID, which the drone will broadcast all it's flight info. Failure to follow rules can result in high fines. This likely will be required for all drones. When you register the drone (only $5 for 3 years) you will see all the requirements. But follow them and you'll enjoy it!

Ruko F11 GIM has continued to do a stellar job in the F11 series. I bought F11 GIM because I wanted the 2 axis gimbal for better video capture. I believe it was worth the additional cost and I really enjoy flying it.It is super user friendly. It has more features than others at this price range. I'm glad it came with battery for almost an hour of flight. I will be purchasing addition batteries to increase my flight times when hunting for certain shots or exploring new places. It comes with a solid case, not cheap in feel or look. The app is solid. Looks like others but so far no glitches or issues. If your new to drones and looking to put your money into something worthwhile yet not sure with the overwhelming amount of choices, look no further than RUKO. Excellent product.

The drone works like a charm but the controller needs more coverage in manual to show how to shut it off.One short tap and then hold the start button to shutdown. Be careful on first flight by using large openarea.

This was my first drone I purchased after seeing a friend use his. I did lots of research to find one that was affordable but had most of the bells and whistles. After watching a bunch of you tube comparison videos with other models and brands, this was the version I choosed. It's packed great. It was easy to use and the quality of the camera is great. It moves and rotates freely unlike the other ones that jerk around. I highly recommend the F11 GIM.

The setup for this bad boy is incredibly intuitive, with a QR code right on the box connecting me to the app on the App Store and tutorial videos found within the app. Sleek case and design, protective shell for camera when it’s not in use, etc. Although you should handle the drone with care, I was surprised at how durable it seems.

Great drone for beginners. Very easy to set up and learn how to use. The return home feature brings the drone back and lands it for you.
