First of all this is only my 2nd Drone I've used. My first one was for "BEGINNERS" not even close. It wasn't the worse I've seen. My brother-in-law had a couple that were really bad in my opinion. They were alot like mine where you spent more time trimming the drone than flying it. And then the battery wasn't but about 7-10 minutes range. So when I decided I wanted to buy a new one I wanted to have at least a few things for sure.1. I dont want to fight the dang thing. This drone once you have done the proper calculations will fly in one spot & wont run off. Mind you it is in GPS mode. Which brings me to..2. GPS is a must now days with as much as drones can cost you & not to mention that it will make a beginner fell souch more confident & that's worth a lot in itself.3. Like most drone today it has the take off & return to home function. It works pretty good. And I'm not saying perfect because I do live around alot of other people in an apartment complex. And them we have housing additions all around us. So you do get a little interfere with the wifi connection some...and u do mean some. Ive only had a problem 2 time's & they both where just starting up waiting fir the connection between the controller & app. And it doesn't land EXACTLY where it took off but withing 3-5 foot range which is just fine for me.4. I love that it has features that will allow you to set a perimeter qhere your drone will stay inside of. If you go outaide of it the drone will return to the set distance & height you chose. The best thing to start with until you have gotten use to your drone & it's movement is to leave it in beginner mode. Which is set at 30m circle out & 30m up. Then there the gps map which you can got to and it will show you your area & so forth. With the GPS feature it will likeost drones return if your battery gets low or you controller losses signal. Once the controller reconnects your back in the game. Also in GPS mode if for some reason you have your drone out of site which is easy to do anymore due to the compact size of them & it goes down you can go to your settings & push findy drone & go right to it. I gave this a try on purpose & worked great.5. And I do have a Galaxy S10 but it works great with it & something worth mentioning that i rarely ever see anyone post or write a review on is I use a pay the month service! I have Straight Talk & I have the cheapest plan for unlimited text data ect. And Ive had no issues with it at all. So people who dont want to ask or fell like people will look down on them I'm here & Im telling you for a fact I use a prepaid service & no problem!!6. The controller is not bad at all it rather easy to use & the App for the drone also is. It does take a little time to get use too.7. Laat thing i will be mentioning is the battery life of this drone. I have check it many times & i always have the camera running and taking pictures and so forth... i will get about 15min if uaing video the whole time. If im just taking pics & flying it's about 20-23min. And ive looked around & have friends with money & unless you are going to spent a ton of money that isn't bad it comes with 2 batteries & the controller is rechargeable. And they use a very common usb charging cord. I want yobsay it came with the galaxy s8 note but not positive. But i have changes the batteries up everytime when im done using it and it down completely & it take about 1 hour for me! Now i have many usb ports in my apartment & they range from the lost charge rate to highest literally. And so long as you dont go over i believe its 5v you wont have an issue. They only give you 1 usb cable so be sure to see what all you have & mire than likely you will have some usb cords that will worl for this drone & its batteries. But be sure to ready the directions first. So long as you follow the directions and don't misuse your drone this bad boy will give you plenty of fun time's. If you take your drone out of GPS mode be sure your in an open area because it may need to have some trimming done. But if your able to handle it this drone it can go rather fast when end sport mode. But again no gps so you wont be able to look it up on your phone should it go down. And it is VERRRRYYY sensitive when in spot mode. You will need the instructions for trimming this drone it's different on which buttons to push where so on.....The camera is good quality it is very nice. I dont know if its 4k due to my phone but I have a 4k tv & cp so I will put them on them & see if it's true 4k. The video does better than i expected the Gimbal really does a hreat job of keeping it from shaking & jumping. The zoom in & oit works but for me it was lagging a bit & the movement of the camera (up and down) wasn't bad either. It done really well. Again with as many people around me using 5g it's going to happen. For those thinking they need 5g network no you don't its just the channel for lack of a better word. Its 4am & i haven't had any sleep so thats why my review is all over the place & im sure i misspelled words or hit wrong button. If you have a cell phone that can run the app then it will run the drone as well. (Ruko Drone) is the App for those that want to see if its compatible with there phone's. Google play & it is the first one i believe. There isn't obstacle avoidance on this drone. And i didnt want it. Because if your running in low light or dark those drones do horrible, I've seen it happen with at least 3 people i watched do it. And i was flying mine no problem in low light. Now i do not recall if this drone has lights on while flying...it will start flashing when the battery gets low. But to my point a lot of the times it would see something wayyy off & go wherever it wanted & again i seen 3 do this. Not saying rhere bad drones just not for me. And the last functions I will talk about are the follow me, gesture picture taking and video, points of interest and i can't remember what the last one is called but i do know what it does. All of these can only be done in GPS mode. What it does is you can take your drone & for example fly right above you then click i want to say it's orbit (i pretty sure just look at features) after clicking orbit fly the drone with right joy stick backwards (i prefer) however for you want your drone to be to video you or take pictures & it will literally fly a complete circle around whatever you set as your center point at & if you want it to stop just move your joystick. It does work & i never had any issues. The follow me isn't to bad. And i say that due to tress ect. So long as theres nothing it can hit it will follow you & again worked great. No issues. The gestures were different it says that you can have it pointed down at you and make a pease song & then it will count down from 3 & take a pic. Well what i have fount for me personally it had to be pretty dang close to work I mean like 5yds &10yds was about the furthest it could do the picture for me. And sometimes it would take it further out but most time got to be close. Now then the gesture video was way better all you got to do it have it pointing at you & hold up your hand as if you were saying stop ✋ it will count down from 3 & record.The last feature I tried but didn't use it but couple time's....you must again use GPS and then go to your map's in the Ruko App & you can set up to 16 points. Then tell the drone to go & it will go directly to each point. (Straight to them!!) And it worked great also. I only used 3 points but it went right to them & i do me straight to it. But i had the video running & it was pretty cool! So i am looking forward to using a bunch of way points & have the video running!! Im a avid Deer hunt & I'm in a wheelchair, it can be challenging to hunt some day's. And this is the reason I bought this Drone the features were perfect for what I was looking for. The area's I hunt can be hard to get to & there's also a large cut-over which now is a big pine tree thicket. I have a 4 way cut in the center. The main trail goes from the road all the way into a crrek bottom. At about the half way point I had a friend cut me lanes running the other 2 directions.(the lanes made were already there they had just grown-up brush...no young tree's were cut, in fact that is why 1 of the lanes isnt long at all! But O dont cute tree's or would want anyone too) i love hunting the bottoms & I can use my drone slowly to go across the creek where i can't go & see the deer trails & signs. And when im hunting the 4 lanes ive always told my love ones i wonder if there are some trails & open spots threw out this large are. Now I'm able to set the up to 16 points and let its record as it goes. Then I can move & zoom the camera as needed. Or just let it go & watch. The reason this is so big is the deer won't pay any attention to a drone way up in the air. And i will be able to see the lanes and thin areas threw my hunting spots. And probably the best thing is I can share the video on my 4k t.v. with my sister's & there kid's (and 1 of my Nephews and one of my niece's love to go with.) And they all get so excited when they see the deer! So for those people out there that think there just toys think again they can be used for many good things & even help a family become even closer. This drone has opened up possibilities for me that I haven't had in years due to getting older & the wheelchair breaking my body down physically and mentally. I will end this book(lol) with this. If your looling for a drone that has the best there is to offer for a really good price this is the one you want. $400-$500 depending on the deals & what all comes with. Compared to a drone that might be a little better on some areas & i do mean little that will run you upwards of $1,000- $2,000 on the low end. This drone can do it all! If your worried about flying time buy an extra battery, & really its a great idea to. This drone also comes with a compact case with plenty of room for a 3rd battery. AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THIS DRONE JUST LIKE THE HIGH $ ONES IS FOLDABLE! And they also back there products & money back guarantee as well & factory warranty is also available. This was my first drone purchase and after doing some research I determined this would be the one for me and after using it a few times I’m confident in my decision.I bought this drone to take pictures and videos of roofs as I am a roofing contractor and so far it has done a fantastic job.The most positive thing I have to say is how quick and easy it was to get things started. Just download the app, calibrate the drone, and you’re ready for takeoff.The remote is very user friendly however there is a slight lag in the camera controller.The battery life is decent. I wish it was more like 30-35min per battery but I haven’t had too many issues with running out of juice. (Definitely nice to have a backup)The camera was less than impressive however. It definitely isn’t true 4K but it still produces high enough quality images/video for what I’m using it for.Another thing is the distance. It doesn’t go nearly as far as I thought it would. I’m lucky to get 200-300ft before I get a “distance limited” alert and it comes back closer to the remote for better signal.One thing I absolutely love is the automatic gps landing feature. Just press one button and it comes back relatively close to where it took off all on its own.Overall, I give it 5 stars because with my limited knowledge about drones I didn’t have much expectations but the ones I did have were exceeded.If you’re contemplating purchasing I would definitely put this one in your top 3 choices.

This drone is one to be reckoned with. Of all the things I don’t know, there is one big thing I do. It may not have meant to be as tough as it is but if it can stay submerged in the lake water for 45 minutes to an hour this Ruko gim drone of mine did and I was back to flying it in 2 days. Impressed doesn’t come close.

Although it took some necessary steps, RUKO replaced my drone and apologized for any delay. Proof they support their products.

Easy to learn

My first time as drone user. Very impressive, powerful and versatile camera. Drone is steady, stable but also agile when maneuvering. Had a problem with internet connection between the app and device (at rest: before flying). But this was easily corrected when away from Home/personal internet/wifi connection (interference?). Instructions are easy to follow for beginners. Outstanding customer service when I reached out with connection issue! Rather very sophisticated powerful device. Maybe because I'm first time user of Drone. I'm very impressed with this device.

First flight. Read everything. The first drone I have tried.In beginner mode, the drone went up about 6 feet, took a hard right turn, crashed in to the neighbors garage.I looked at the drone, it looked ok. And then? The camera started shaking, crazily. I turned off the drone, turned it back on, it seemed ok, then the camera started shaking again.Ok, I moved the camera a bit, it stopped shaking. I tried it again. This time? As soon as it got up to about 10 feet, it immediately took a hard and QUICK left turn, crashed in to a brick wall.And yes, I did calibrate it. I followed all of the instructions. I think I got a bad one.However. No longer interested in drones. I am returning it.Update... Ruko has made it right. Excellent customer service! This drone held up to my expectations. It was fairly easy to set up, although it seemed a little delayed to respond to the process at first. Not sure if that's a normal learning curve it has? But everything worked to set up for the most part easily.Once in flight I was very impressed! We took it to a lookout tower which is fairly windy and it maintained it position pretty well! I like the features to land at the start point at the end and flying it was easy. The camera stability is also excellent.Overall, this is a very good drone for the price point. I was pleasantly impressed! And no need to spend thousands on an drone for my purposes anyway. I highly recommend!
