Bought it for Yellowstone. It’s small but works! So exciting when seeing a grizzly walking down a mountain far far away with this !

This is my first monocular. So far I have enjoyed almost daily. This purchase was to enjoy watching hummingbird’s and birds in my backyard. It gives such sharp detail and so easy to adjust all in one hand. Great product!

If you are not obsessed with taking quality photos, you are going to have a lot of fun with the monocular itself. In fact, I already had a binocular and I was happy with that. I bought this monocular to take some photos using it. So, having a quality tripod is essential.

My children love hiking they are very curious about many things in the forest, they often take pictures of a small specimen but when looking back on the computer the image is not clear. When I gave them this product, they were very excited and happy. The kids love this product, thank you very much.

I have been wanting a good monocular as I always felt that binoculars were a bit on the heavy side and hard for me to focus as both my eyes have different prescriptions. This one fits my hand perfectly and is super easy to focus. It feels solid without being cumbersome or heavy. The kit came with many extras that were super nice. The mini tripod is one of the best I have seen, compared against those sold separately and those bundled with web cameras, etc. It has a very professional quality feel. The carrying case was also of a higher quality than I expected. I felt that it would be able to do a great job keeping the monocular safe and sound while in transit. The lanyard and lens cleaning cloth are your typical style and size for each and the smartphone adapter was well built. The monocular itself felt more expensive than what I paid for it. The outer shell was rubber of a good firmness. Not too stiff to feel awkward and not to soft to feel like it will cause problems. The focus knob on top was positioned just right for easy focusing while holding the telescope one-handed. The lens caps were thick and pliable, easy to take off, but also felt like they would do a good job of protecting the lens in the case of an accidental drop (but I would prefer not to test that, which is why I was happy to see the lanyard included). One caveat is that the eye piece lens cover is not connected to the body, so you will need to store it after removing it (when using the telescope). The end lens cap is attached to the bottom of the end of the telescope, so when you remove it from the lens, it hangs there and is kept close at hand when you are done with the telescope and ready to store it away. The smartphone mount took a little getting used to. Getting it adjusted and figuring out the most comfortable way to hold both the phone and telescope (when they were "connected") took a little trial and error. I mainly just made sure that the phone mount was sufficiently tightened and secure and that the telescope eye piece was perfectly secure in the eye piece cup on the mount, then I just held the telescope and used my free hand to activate the shutter button on the phone. I was able to get a few decent pictures once I figured out the correct settings on the phone. It seemed like the phone's autofocus was competing with the manual focus on the telescope. I did adjust my settings and it really seemed to help. I took a picture of the tree "native" to show how far away from it I was then I took a couple of the top of the tree using the telescope/smartphone adapter. I was pretty happy with how they turned out. I was hoping for some wildlife to test it out on, but so far they have been "camera shy"ProsClean, clear opticsComfortable size and weightEasy to focus, even during one-handed useStandard tripod connector makes multiple mounting/holding options are possibleSmartphone adapterConsCord attached eye piece end cap would have been a nice additionSmartphone adapter a little challengingFor the first "Con" I can understand why they did not leave the eye piece end cap attached, if they had it would have been constantly slapping up against your face when you were using the telescope. For the 2nd "Con" I also can understand their design choices, as the mount has to work for a myriad of different phones, and in that regard I was impressed with how well it worked on my older iPhone and also my wife's newer one. It was secure and it did center the telescope view with the camera "in frame".All in all we are really happy with this telescope and I am sure it will get plenty of use around here.

Really well built. This does what it’s supposed to do and does it great. I haven’t tested it with my phone but I’m sure that would work just as well.
