I bought mainly to use with my Sony A7III mirrorless DSLR while recording videos, I noticed inbuilt microphones in the camera are average and not for real production, I see huge difference in sound when recorded with this microphone. The quality is excellent, voice and surround sounds are recorded crisply. When recording outdoors shoots I’m using the fur sleeve and it is really helpful to cut the wind noise. Satisfied with the budget microphone and serving my need.

As a newbie to recording, I think this product is decent for beginners. I have used this both on my phone and canon camera. I have not used the covers that go over the mic only because I use this indoors and I am fairly close to the camera. It picks up the sound well and its clearer better than the built in microphone on my phone or camera. The holder is plastic but I think it kinda need to be in order to attach it the microphone, but its pretty stable so far. Since it is plastic I have no idea how long it will last.
